Desperante Posted August 17, 2004 Posted August 17, 2004 Is there a difference between a 3.5" SBE II and 3" SBE II and 2.3/4" SBE II? On body or mechanism.. Is the body of SBE II steel? If i buy a 3.5" SBE II, can i replace its barrel with a 3" or 2.3/4" barrel? Quote
Drundel Posted August 17, 2004 Posted August 17, 2004 There is only one SBEII, it will shoot 2-3/4 ammo, 3" ammo and 3.5" ammo. Quote

mudhen Posted August 17, 2004 Posted August 17, 2004 The SBE II has a 2-part receiver. The upper half is attached to the barrel and is blued steel. Pretty sure the lower half is anodized aluminum as in the SBE and most other Benellis. I could be wrong, but I had not heard that Benelli went to a steel lower half in the SBE II. mudhen - CA Quote
birddog Posted August 18, 2004 Posted August 18, 2004 you're right on mudhen ..lower reciever is still Aluminum alloy. Quote
