Removing bolt release assy pin from Montefeltro?

I don't see how the roll pin can be tapped out from bottom to top. It must have to be tapped out from the top, but there doesn't seem to be enough room to get a punch in there. Any suggestions or help is appreciated.

FYI - It is a lefty model, if that makes a difference.

That is what the instructions say...but, it is a lefty model. There is hardly any place for the pin to traval upwards, only about 1/8" then it hits the top of the grove the bolt travels in. The only way to remove the pin seems to be from the top down.

 

I have a feeling the ejection port being on the left side changes things.

 

Oh well, taking it to a gunsmith tomorrow.
