My first good date with the 20ga UL

Had my first good round with the 20ga Ultralight. Got to run about 100 rds through it. Cheapo Federal Wally World stuff.

First off, this is a BEAUTIFUL shotgun. I really like the stock. Fit and finish is flawless. Metal is beautiful. I fell in love with the 12ga UL, so when this was released, I had to get on the list.

I had no malfunctions of any kind. Every round fed, fired, and ejected flawlessly. I didn't clean it beforehand. Just pulled a snake through the barrel to be sure it wasn't obstructed, and started shooting. I did not pattern the gun, but it seemed to hit point of aim for me. I dealt some coconuts, coke cans, and a few watermelons some misery.

5.2 lbs (I think), good looking, and shoots like a house afire. What's not to like!! I realize that I need another thousand or so rounds to determine reliability, so I will report back in later, but I am confident it will go well.

I really like this little gun. My only caution would be the recoil. My 11 yr old son ran a few rounds through it before I got to shoot it. He loved it. He is not crazy about the 12ga UL. Honestly, I can't tell any difference in the recoil between the two. The 20 is quite snappy!! It doesn't bother me, but it might not be the best choice for a recoil sensitive novice. HOWEVER, it will be a wonderful gun to carry all day.

Anyway, that is what I think so far. Anyone else have one of these little beauties?
