Wallhanger54 is correct. The new gel pads for all the "2" models will not fit on M1's or on the original SBE's. The new gel pads pop on and off like a Nova pad, the original pad are secured by screws. Sorry! I'd suggest (of course) moving up to a "2" or there are some great recoil reducing pads out there, I'm kinda partial to LimbSaver.

Mudhen - I do apologize for the confusion, but it seems there was a typo in the 2004 website. It has indeed been corrected and apologize for inconvenience it has caused.

We have found tru-glo sights to be quite compatible with the SBE. Some of them can cause a bit of aesthetic damage to the ventillated rib, but usually the sights are left on & the marring is not visible.

This is the serial number format for an H&K imported Super Black Eagle. This gun was manufactured prior to Benelli USA imports.
