    choke tubes

i am hoping that i can get some advice on something really dumb i did with my nova pump. heres what happened last hunting season i was using a full choke, and about halfway through the season i started hunting at a new place were steel shot was the only thing you can shoot, so i used steel, but stupid me forgot that full choke was for lead only not steel, i just remembered this season while dove hunting as i was looking through my choke tubes. i asked a few people if any possible dammage could have been done to the barrel or choke, and everyone told me not to worry, the choke may have gotten a little scratched. after i went home i checked the barrel's and ddint find and dammage, i also checked the choke tube, and found some trace marks from shooting. could using a steel shot with a lead only choke of hurt anytihng else in the gun, or did it just scratch the choke a litttle. i was told not to worry, because hte choke is what holds the pattern and thats what would dammage a little.( i was shooting a lot with the full choke and steal shot, about half a season of upland.)
  2. i have the nova for about 2 years now and i love that gun it works very well i shoot houndreds of boxes of ammo all year round during the summer i do trap, then dove, then pheasant, then some waterfowl so my nova has seen pretty much all sizes of amo, and it has never ever jammed on me once. i have seen the condor and it seems pretty nioce of a gun but when you start doing duck adn waterfowl i wouldnt want to bring a nive o/u into the water or mud. also with my nova i dont really have to worry about water dropping it or scratches its durrable and stylish. the choice is up to you its all in the game that you will mostly hunt. Nova Recoil Reducer

I also have the nova pump and was thinking of putting the recoil reducer into my pump, but unless you are goign to use a big load such as 3 1/2 its not really recommended so i dont even use it. but i know htat most all benelli dealers will eithor have it or if they dont they order it all the sporting stores in illinois that are benelli dealers will order it for you ir just have it nin stock, so i would check local sporting stores if they are benelli dealrs, if you go to benelli's website you can find the dealers in your area.
  4. i have a nova 12g and for the past 2 years i ahve been using it for everytihng and it has never jammed on me. i guess you can try oiling it up and trying to break it in, but other than that i would call the manufacturer and see what they say.
  5. i ahve had a nova for almost 2 years now i use it for trap, pheasant, quail duck and geese, and i have never had a problem with it yet.
  6. i have a nova 12g and it works excellent. in the past 1 1/2 the gun has never jammed or locked up with me. i would try disassembling the gun and oiling it up and trying to break it in its worth teh try but i dont know if it will work.
