  1. The o-ring is supposed to fit tightly, but it should be soft and pliable.

It compresses against the flat side and that's what holds it in place.

    Two options:

    1. Call Benelli CS and explain your concerns. They may send you a spare o-ring.

    2. Take the o-ring to the local hardware and get an extra or two. I'd stick with the same size.

    Tucker are you serious?

go to the hardware store and stock up on frwakin parts?....

wth are you thinking? ... I'd be damned if I'd ever recomend someone build a gun they paid over $1000.00 for ...

thats nuts man .. an its not right!!

  2. Take the gun back ... get your money and buy an SX3 and forget about it ...

This kind of crap is rediculous .. especially for what this company is charging for the junk.

  3. Duck Commander's "Mallard Drake" is one you should have and learn - pretty easy but like any calling it takes practice and time out listening to the ducks in order to mimic them correctly. Their wood duck call is a good one, too. Around here for Teal I use a higher tighter pitched Mallard hen tone so if you can find something that sounds the like.. more power to ya. Wish I could recomend one but the one I use has been around for a few decades and I can't for the life of me figure out what make it is.

Keep it simple though .. most times less is more when calling and keep those obnoxious hail calls to a minimum.. every tom dick and harry this side of the south pole just beats that dog dead for the most part. For Woodys I tick and cluck with very few weezes mixed in.. tough to talk about it just comes out nowdays.

When Benelli engineers were tasked with taming the recoil of a 10 ga. brute, they weren't coming up with anything that seemed to be stout enough, yet still lightweight and unobtrusive.

Frustrated and exhausted, the team was ready to throw in the towel....

While working on the suspension of his Honda Civic on a weekend, junior engineer G. O. Nadflinger had a bit of a revelation.

He immediately abandoned the Honda project and worked for 30 hours without a break until he'd perfected the new "Nadflinger Strut".

"This thing feels like hitting a 2 foot pothole running 50!", exclaimed G. O., "and that's a helluvalot softer than squeezing off a 10 ga. slug round!"

I don't care who ya are .. that there is good fun!!

    tuck--tuck--tuck---- ---- GOOSE!

  5. what horrible demons have poccessed you ?????????step up what??????????let me perform an exorcism on you,,,trust me ,,beginners luck,,its gotta be better than your attitude towards Benelli shotguns,,what happened?????????

How soon you forget my firey friend.. the 2 Mag-10's I have in the safe I'd love to use but they weigh a metric ton.. sooo, mother goose would have have to step-it-up for this guy to shell out the ching..

Nothing too terrible, M1014.. I've just brodened my horizon a bit more.

  6. Non toxic for pheasants, what is the world coming to? After shooting steel all this fall at ducks its been fun taking some afternoon pheasant hunts, shooting my 20ga with 1 1/8oz of #5's has been real fun. Taking shots at passing birds out to 45+yards and just knocking em down stone dead, I dont think you get results like that with steel of any kind less you go heavy shot.

Need no-tox on state lands or 'waterfowl' preserve/reserve areas in S.Dakota if I remember correctly been a while since I've hunted away from the private lands I stomp. 2-3/4" 1-1/8oz #4's reving @ 1300+ will do the trick just fine - 3" 7/8-1oz 20's at the same 1300+ make 'em drop just fine too.

I actually took 2 deer this year with the 20ga so far smile.gif

  8. Nice pics CuzTheyFly.

Shooting in my area has been good on woodies and teal so far.. spoonies have been a little more plentiful and I've noticed an increase in my respective area in pintails and canvasbacks.

Canadian's have been overly plentiful.. only 1 a day bag here and it'll be strong until season's end.
