  1. The Sport II is a fine choice, it will cycle any thing you feed it, recoil is low to none, I love mine. The only regret I have is the dificulty of getting a shell catcher for less then an arm and a leg.
  2. amccom, You must be a small giant
  3. I hope I'm not out of line but I must tell you. I am a recoil woos and I am shooting the benelli sport II... FANTASTIC, if it fits her she will love it, it does come with shims for edjustments.
  4. I am the proud owner of a Benelli Sport II , shotgun, I absolutly love that thing it shoots beautifully. Could any one tell me with absolute confidance what are the stock and forarm made of ? Thanks in advance.
  5. Those of us who were “married” to our guns in the military service and had their guns inspected daily, and their life saved by a gun that does not jam, will clean the gun just because it is a gun and it must be clean. I have several shotguns, and I KNOW they do not require cleaning, but I’ll clean them any time I take them out of the gun safe. “Cleaning the gun is half the fun”. It also provides for practice of braking down and reassembly of the gun. Not a bad idea.
  6. I know what you are saying, it is rather sad, Benelli makes excellent product, but do not support it with any parts or accessaries, (see my post “shell catcher”) and if you need parts it is an ordeal to find them and they are very expansive.

    Shell Catcher

An answer to myself and anyone who is interested. T & S makes them, http://www.tandsshellcatcher.com/prod01.htm And here is how it works : "* Due to the limited demand for this model it is made from a modified TS-AL2 Shell Catcher and requires a small notch in the bottom of the bolt handle to clear the Shell Catcher as it operates. The notch is 0.040" deep and almost invisible when the bolt handle is installed. The cost of the bolt handle is rather expensive and therefore the only way we can offer this model is to have the consumer send their bolt handle to T&S Industries, Inc. for exchange. The handle should be sent in a package that will arrive safely. Insurance is recommended. Due to the custom nature of the model please allow up to three weeks for delivery. T&S Industries, Inc. reserves the right to not exchange bolt handles that are not in excellent condition. We cannot exchange or modify the completely ROUND Benelli Bolt Handles for use with a T&S Shell Catcher. Camo painted bolt handles have been discontinued and we do not have any available for exchange, therefore, it may take 3-4 weeks for modification of your bolt handle." Hope this helps those of us who dont want to bend over...

    Shell Catcher

Tommorow I'll be picking up the Benelli Sport II I have just purchased, I'll be using it for trap and sporting clay. To my dismay I can not find a shell catcher to fit this gun !!! . Any ideas , thoughts and solutions are welcome. It would be verry boring to have to pick up hundreds of empty hulls after every round.
