I like the 1/2 strut gobbling on the limb also. Thanks for the advice.

We roosted this bird the night before. The next morning we set up about 200 yards from the roost site. We worked him for over an hour. He came in following five hens.He got as close 23 yard at half strut, then I shot him. I got him with hevi shot 6's 3 inch 1 5/8 oz. 19 pounds, 9 1/2 inch beard, and 7/8 inch spurs. I think I am going to get him mounted strutting. Spencer

Here are the calls I have and use. Primos Prospector box call, Primos Power crystal slate, tone though raspy old hen diaphram and one more tone though that is pretty darn raspy, H.S. Strut Raspy young hen, and two more H.S. diaphram. I have a wood stricker and a corbon one. I also have a hoot tube but where I hunt I don't think there is that kind of owls. It might still work I'm not sure. I would like to get a quieter slate. And of course sand paper for the slate. And of course I have a crow call. I just bought an aluminum slate that is quieter than my primos, two mouth calls and a box call holster. Spencer
