    What changes?

What changes would you like to see in the Benelli line of guns? I for one would like them to offer a model like the Legacy without the decorations on the sides to look more the Super Sport.
  2. Different bore sizes. .733 for Beretta and .723 for Benelli. DO NOT use SBE II chokes in a Beretta it may cause damage to the gun or shooter but, you can use Beretta Optima Plus chokes in the SBE II. This didn't come from Benelli but from George Trulock of Trulock Chokes. When I first got my new SBE II I called Benelli and asked the same question. The guy and the other end of the phone seemed like he had no clue that the chokes were different in the new SBE II. If you want answers to your choke questions Trulock is the guy to ask. Great chokes and Great Service. www.trulockchokes.com [ 06-28-2004, 08:21 AM: Message edited by: Camo ]
  3. Jk, What was your question for Benelli?
  4. Hey Montefeltro! It's been two weeks any word from Benelli's chief engineer in Itlay???

    M2 short recoil pad

The choke wrench is that little piece of bent metal you found in the case. NOT very impressive is it for a high cost shotgun?
  6. That's true FIB....turkey hunting this year I made sure to used my thumb and index finger when taking my safety off to help deaden the sound.
  7. Okay sorry Montefeltro thanks for your concern and help I’ll wait and see what happens….Dad always said the squeaking wheel gets the grease…..or is it the spring? Anyway from my passed experience with Benelli you won’t mind if I don’t hold my breath for their answerer.
  8. Looks like this is a problem with all their new models and it sounds like we're all waiting for our new springs!!! Come on Mr. Montefeltro do your customer service thing and help us out!
  9. I've had the same problem my safty was too stiff and I've done the same thing so I'll be intersted to see what they say about it.
  10. Well I spent some time at the patterning board this weekend. I’ve tried and optima plus turkey choke that mikes out to be a .660 without much success. I also tried and Briley Turkey choke that also was a .660 wasn’t impressed with that one either. The best so far for me has been the Pure Gold turkey choke .670 using Remington Hevi Shot 1 7/8 oz. in 6 shot. It was passable but not as good as my old SBE with a Hasting ported .660 choke and Winchester HV 6 shot. I also tried the Hevi-Shot using the Crio full choke .680 that came with the gun and that did just about as good as the Pure Gold choke. So I’m still trying to find the right combo.
  11. I tried just about everything this weekend. None of the 3” turkey loads shot worth a darn no matter what choke I used. The lead shot best out to 40 yards with a Brileys special turkey choke and Winchester 3 1/2 inch HV 2 oz. 6 shot. I don't shoot steel so don't know what to tell ya about that.
  12. I patterned my SBE II this weekend and it shot a little high also. I have a red dot mounted on it so it was no problem making a correction. I tried a number if different brands. The best pattern I found was with the standard full choke and Remington hevi shot 3 ½ inch 1 7/8 oz. of 6 shot. This combo was good out to 50 yards. At 45 yards it was putting 37 in an 6 inch circle.

    New SBE II

Has anyone patterned the new SBE II yet?
  14. Turkeycallin, My SBE shot best with a Hasting .660 ported choke and Winchester 3 1/2" HV #6 shot. At 40 yards it would put and around 18 in the kill zone. I've tried an Kicks GT .665 also and it did okay but the Hastings did a little better in my gun. [ 04-09-2004, 08:56 AM: Message edited by: Camo ]
  15. I'm new so I didn't know if this is has been posted before. Just traded my old SBE for a new SBE II and didn't know they have changed the choke system. My the turkey choke I have been using won't fit so I'm back to the start finding one that works. If anyone has made the change let me know what setup you're using now.
