  1. I just about have my SuperNova done....set-up to be a turkey killing machine!!! My only problem is that I am trying to find a recoil pad to fit the Benelli Steady Grip Stock. Have you guys found anything??? I really don't want a slip on type pad...but that seems to be all I can find. Not to mention, when I talked to the gentleman at Limbsaver about the recoil pad, he was, well, not very nice and very arrogant when he told me they only make the slip on for the steady grip stock. And when I asked what size...his response was..."measure it...then order one...thanks for the call...bye." I think someone whizzed in wheaties that day!!! Anyway...any help with a recoil pad for a steady grip stock would be GREATLY appreciated!!!!! And if you have a slip on pad...let me know how it fits and if you have had trouble with it. Thanks guys!!!!

  3. Just curious here fellas....I haven't done any research on it, just thought I would throw it out on here: Does the SuperNova take the same chokes as the SBEII??? Or are they the old style chokes like what were in the Nova? Thanks!!!
  4. I have an SBE II in black synthetic and would like to have it teflon coated.....will this cause any problems with the inertia driven recoil system or any other aspect of the gun??? Second question....do the new "comfor-tech" models come with stainless springs and recoil tube??? I had a gunsmith tell me this but I have never heard it anywhere else. If so great......if not, watch out Sure Cycle here I Come. Thanks. Strait
  5. Took it out Friday....performed flawlessly on 6 ducks - 4 mallards and two teal. Maybe it was a fluke....but I am going to tear it down completely tonight, clean it and then oil it (lightly with MilTec). Thanks for help fellas!!!! It is appreciated!!! Strait
  6. I was out Duck Hunting the other day with my SBE II and noticed that every fourth or fifth shot the bolt seemed to come back too far and the shell being pushed into the chamber would "get stuck" between bolt head and the outside edge of the receiver. I know the gun is "broken in" as I used it all through goose season (3.5" mag BB 1 3/8 oz at 1550fps). I probably put 6 to 8 boxes of these rounds through it on top of two cases of trap rounds. Is it that the gun is "too broken in"???? Meaning the bolt is too loose upon recoil that it "over travels." Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. 7. I have had the opportunity to shoulder and shoot both guns as i have owned a Nova and now own an SBE II. The recoil with the Nova is much more noticeable when compared with the SBE II. On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the most recoil....I would say the Nova is an 8 while the SBE II is a 4 or 5. Strait
  8. I cannot say for sure - my gunsmith did it for me right after we patterned it and ahot a couple clays. I made the comment that I thought it was too small and didn't like the factory bead. He said hold on, try this. It took him about 2 minutes - maybe - to put that Hi-Viz on and I LOVE IT!!!!!!
  9. Good question....that's the reason I'm here!!!!
  10. got my SBE II on 6/18 and shot it for this first time last night - I LOVE IT!!!!! Anyway, I too noticed the two tiny bare metal spots on the barrel just above the fore end cap. Anybody figure this out yet????? Is it marks from where the barrel sat on something while it was being finished - matte finish?????
  11. I just replaced mine last night with a Hi-Viz comp sight - in green. I can remove each light tube and change them out as I please - red, orange, ivory and green. The sight is awesome. Although it is a little bigger than the original front bead, therefore POI will be a little lower - but for me it gives me 60 - 40 patterns - PERFECT!!!!!!!!!
