  1. I had problems also with my M1 shooting the tactical slugs that are low powered. I made sure my M1 was broken in well, with 00 buck, about 50 rounds. Never had any problems after that. Allen
  2. you can always use a gunsmith to cut down the stock a few inches. Benelli advised that it was no problem as long as you used a smith that was used to working with synthetic stocks.
  3. Haven't found any aftermarket stocks for the M1 You can always have a gunsmith cut down the stock a couple of inches. I have asked Benelli about it and they advised there was no problem as long as you have a gunsmith that is used to altering synthetic stocks. Nothing illegal about it, people have it done all the time to fit younger shooters.
  4. Bassnbud, I have used the Tacstar side saddle on my M1 with no problems for the past two years. Go for it. Allen
  5. As far as putting a 18.5 inch barrell onto your SBS, sure it's not a problem. Benelli will sell the 14inch barrel to a class 3 dealer who would process your paperwork and hang onto your gun until the BATF paperwork is returned to him and then he will release the gun to you. Allen
  6. Come on guys..I know some high speed shooter has put one on...share
  7. On an earlier thread some of us were talking about getting a rail put on our M1's. One member brought up a very good point about adding weight onto the M1 might cause problems with it cycling. Anyone have experience with mounting a rail and optics onto the M1? Allen
  8. Manpack, Two things. First: when you do have one put on let me know how you like it, I want to do the same to my M1 entry. Second: on the M4 rail, I'm sure that Benelli sells them. I'm gonna check and see and let you know what I find out. Good Luck. Allen
  9. Find a gunsmith first and I'm sure he will have a rail sitting around or know where to get one for the job.
  10. My daughter has become interested in shooting but the shotgun that I have for her is a little too long in the stock. Has anyone had a synthetic stock cut down for fitting? If so, who did it and I wonder if Benelli would do it at their custom shop. Thanks all.
  11. Sorry to deviate from the subject a little...but looking at the buffer tube in the above diagram and the one in the M1 Super 90, they look the same. Besides the M4 and M1014 being gas is there really much difference in the M1 and M4 buffer tube system? It's a stretch but if the M4 tube system would work on the M1...I could put the collaspable stock on the M1 . Feasible??
  12. I have a 14inch entry M1 (LEO) and due to the new collaspable stock not being able to fit the M1, only the M4, I have a question. I am having a rail put on the M1 for a optic sight and am wanting to shorten the fixed stock. Has anyone had a gunsmith actual cut down a stock before successfully? And do you guys think it is feasible?
  13. Newbie here, I am a LEO and wanting to get the new M4 collaspable stock for a department M1 Tactical. Are the M4 stocks available to Law enforcement yet? I was advised a while back they would be available in the summer of 2004. Anyone hear anything about that? Also... can a picatinny rail be added to the M1 without effecting the function? Not sure if there were design changes with the M4. Thanks all
