  1. Yeah, my pad has fallen off many times and the last time I luckily found it in the nice clean rice paddy water under the blind.... It is indeed 'sad' to have black electrical tape holding on the recoil pad. The pad in the stock has come loose as well.(anyone else have that problem?) Once it warms up I'll use some silicone to hold them on better but in the mean time it sure is annoying to have petty troubles with a $1400 gun. However since it performs so well and I shoot very well with it I figure once it's solved it will just be a bad memory and I'll go forward from here. I will request a new pad from CS as well and see what happens.
  2. when I first installed the extension on my SBEII the spring was somewhat jammed, I loosened the cap and heard it pop into place. hope this helps.

    hevi-shot

I would personally shoot 4's over decoys or 2's pass shooting. Worked well for me this year, mod choke in SBE II.
  4. I installed a four shot extension on my SBEII, while it was a pain I got it done. That C clamp device made me nervous, I mean how hard do you dare clamp on a gun barrel ?? Anyway I tightened it pretty well and went out to a shoot and went thru 125-150 #6 lead shells. When home to clean the weapon I notice the clamp fell off !! Do I have to worry and get another one or do you think it will be fine ? Short of using loctite or something I dont think it can be tightened enough without damaging the barrel or mag extension. Any advice especially from Benelli would be appreciated. Thanks, Jim
  5. I've done very well with the MOD choke using #4 or #2 shot, mostly hevi shot and some tungsten. Birds I bring down have been dead.
  6. Getting my safety repaired was smooth and easy !! An email to C.Day, a response with an addy followed. I chose to UPS Red the trigger, the received it the next day. Trigger was fixed and the package returned via UPS Red the same day they received it !!! Awesome !! Thanks for the great service C.Day !!!

    SBE Shell catcher

Found the instructions in my truck, don't know if it's a valid company or what. Save-It N3469 Hwy 26 Juneau,WI 53039 696-3550 The model X will probably fit the SBE without much if any modification.(I had been given a regular)
  8. Thanks ! This will come in handy for tower shoots. I hope it comes on and off fairly easy, I'd like to only have it on when I'm not hunting waterfowl.

    SBE Shell catcher

I know, but I threw out the instructions for that shell catcher and dont' remember the company name. Tom's a good guy.......but boy does he hate Benelli ! My pa bought two X2's from him, can't hit nothing. Now my SBEII on the other hand, I've shot better at targets and live birds than any prior shotgun I've owned !

    SBE Shell catcher

Tom's Guns in Marshall,WI sells a shell catcher for a Winchester X2 that can be modified to fit on the SBE very easily. I believe that same brand, which I cannot remember, has a model that would probably fit the SBE without modification. Mine is modified but I got it too late for trap season and will use it next year.
  11. Does anyone know of an online retailer where I can purchase a mag extension and limiter for my SBE II ? Please advise. Thanks.
