  1. Break-in went well tonight although my shoulder would think otherwise. ( Much better than my 870 though)
  2. I do not have the recommended loads posted here, would I be able to correct the FTF problem (if I have one) after I have shot a few hundred rounds through the gun? I have 2 boxes of 3" mag, max dram, 1500 fps, 1 1/8 oz shot. Those will be my first 50 rounds.
  3. How do I break in my new SBE II?
  4. Sounds like what happened to my father's SBE.

    how to stop rust

I sprayed a bunch of Rem oil in my case just to give a little "insurance" to prevent rust, then at home I spray with rem oil, then wipe it off. After a trip I spray important areas with gun scrubber, then oil it again.

    SBE prob

While Pheasant hunting with my dad, his SBE wouldn't cycle at all, only after fiddling with it in the garage, then the firing pin wouldn't go. All it would do is click. He cleaned it real well and then oiled it good. He hasn't shot it since. Any suggestions?

    general gun

I was looking at the Franchi 912 and I like it but its safety in the front of the trigger gaurd, only thing I didn't like about it and if I'm not mistaken gas operated? (which I like) but I did see the Franchi 48 AL Field, Short stock and I really like that, Small, safety in the back, not too pricey, overall perfect gun for me, and my grouse hunting adventures. The 12 gauge will do my heavier hunting jobs.

    general gun

My question here is, What Benelli, (thinking M1 Field) would make me a happy hunter? My quarry is Grouse first then heavy pheasant hunting for a week every year with some ducks thrown in for good measure when theres actually water in this state. I will be getting the Montefeltro short stock later on for my grouse adventures, but that another story and 1250$ later. Will the M1 Field fit the bill?? thanks, oh and I don't really like the looks of the M2, just a personal preference.
