I bought the Pure Gold modified for waterfowling because the factory "crio" chokes shot disgusting patterns. The Pure Gold are great chokes and they shoot a very tight pattern. For decoying birds, Imp would be perfect. I think it sucks that a person can spend $1100 on a shotgun and have to buy aftermarket chokes because the stock choke system stinks. I'm not sure I'm sold on Benelli shotguns.

I shot #6 Hevi-Shot shells today through my new M-2. To my horror, a hole in the middle of the pattern in both my IC and Mod chokes. Are the new Crio Chokes the problem here?

Does anybody out there know anything about Hevi-Steel?

I can't comment on Hevi Shot because I've never used it. But, after the cripple problems last year my hunting partner and myself are thinking about using it. As for the FUDs, they're awesome providing you are not hunting in high winds. They do have a tendancy to lean when the winds pick up. On the flip side, a slight breeze really gets 'em moving. Try them, you won't be sorry.
