  1. Does anybody have a picture of the button clip? I think that plug-in-plate might be the way to go. I can't remember if the trigger on my SBEII is composite plastic though. I would like to have the chrome bolt handle. That might do enough. Waylon [ 06-09-2005, 03:09 PM: Message edited by: Waylon ]
  2. Ok I have a question. Everyone in my blind this comming duck season will have a Max-4 SBEII. Total of 5 guys. I need a way to customize it so I can tell which one is mine. Are their any accessories to add to the SBEII? Plated Triggers, sights, ect.? Any suggestions? [ 06-09-2005, 01:24 PM: Message edited by: Waylon ]
  3. Yeah Its a serious design flaw. That "cap" is concaved. Anything and everything is going to scratch it. Some worse than others. I just hope this "cap" isn't that expensive to replace. If they arn't, (since this one is already jacked up) I might just keep this one for days when I need the sling. Anybody know how much these things are to replace?
  4. 100 lb. propane tank! 12v Lighting system. We've got everything from Robo to Mallard Machine. I'll tell you what the best decoy is. Well the best two. We've found that robos arn't very good after about 8:00 when the ducks can vividly see the fake spinning wings. They flair. However, before first light comes. You can be in the decoy spread beside a Robo, and have ducks shlting on your head. After 1st light, we pull it out. The feeding mallard. It vibrates, and is inflatable. Its awesome. Very good on calm days. Swimmers are awesome on calm days for us too! [ 06-08-2005, 05:43 PM: Message edited by: Waylon ]
  5. Here are two more pictures showing progress.
  6. sdkidaho is right. The swivels that TGG gave are almost exactly what I have. I have have a nova, and I love the way the fore-arm screw is shaped. It can't get cratched like the SBEII can. Its a cone shape. Tuckers swivels are a little better, but with excessive toting around the field, these are likely to dig into the "screw" too. I don't think I would uses these, because I want to stick with the super sling. I love the adjustibility, of the strap. Its awesome while duckhunting. I would really like to keep the strap. Anybody know if the Nova Cap will fit the SBEII? I would check mine, but my Nova is at my parents house in Tennessee.
  7. Well, I attached this sling to my SBEII. I will say that I love the functionality of the sling. It a "Super Sling 2" It has the adjustible length strap. It works very good when walking in flooded timber, and while carrying various things during a hunt. From the pictures below, you can see that the the metal attachment clips dig into the gun, while carring. Well, my question is has anyone else had this problem? Has anyone found a fix for this? Or, is their another product out there that works similar to this brand, but will not scar my gun? I like to take care of my guns, and I really like having a strap on a shotgun. Please help! You can tell here, while the strap is removed. It is scaring the gun. Its not that bad now, but this strap/gun combo has been used for 1 hunt. If this were to be used for an entire season, it would probably do severe damage.
  8. We wanted a stationary floor, because we will park the boats/kayaks under the blind. Also we intend to build 2 doors for entry, and exit of the underblind. "get out quick, and get back in quick" However, if the water gets to record levels, like last year. We won't get a boat under the blind. So, as a precaution, we are going to build a secondary dock behind the blind, with an overhanging roof. On the baiting side, the deal is. As long as you don't harvest the crop. You can hunt it. Also you can hunt a harvested field if it has been picked/thrashed 10 days prior to a hunt. We don't intend to harvest anyway, we will be lucky to get 35% germination.
  9. Come Late Oct. Early Nov. The entire field will be flooded. We are on the bottom end of a lake, and only 100yds from the river. When they open the Dam for Winter pool levels......LOOK OUT! Its hard to believe from these pictures, but last year (highest flood level since we started duck hunting) the water got so high, it was knee deep INSIDE the old blind. Thats the main reason for the 7 foot floor height. We should have all the water we can handle. We usually get mixed bags of Fowl. Mostly Woodies, and Mallards, some divers, and TONS of sky carp. Last year for some reason was a good year for Shovelers, and Bluebills. Go figure? Canvasbacks are pretty rare at this hole.
  10. Give me a little while. the pictures arn't uploading. Waylon [ 06-02-2005, 03:03 PM: Message edited by: Waylon ]
  11. Well me and the boys have started construction on what appears to be a new location for Embassy Suites in a field of Jap. Millett, and Soybeans. The plans call for Just shy of 600 Sq. Ft. Floor Joists start at 7 ft. with a 5 Ft. wrap around shooting porch. Lots of freebies, and so far just over $1000.00 invested. This baby is going to be big! We like to call it the HILTON! I'll try and post more as we go. Let me know what you think! Shout out to Matt May of Delta King Seed, and David Riggs aka "BDR" of Riggs Home Center for the lumber! 12. Bottom line, If you want a Corvette, buy a Corvette. If you want a Accord, buy an Accord. It's as simple as that.
  13. Anybody have any idea what a Beretta A390 Silver Mallard Ducks Unlimited Edition is worth? New in box never fired! I know this guy that has a ton of his (late) fathers guns. He is getting rid of all of them, I have bought several from him already, but I have never dealt with this Beretta. Also, i can't find anything on the net about it. Any price quotes, pictures, links?

  16. ok, if anybody has their SBEII with these capabilities, can we possibly get a picture?
  17. This issue has come up more than a few times while in the blind, and I would like to know a little more about it. Can someone please explain this theory in a little more detail. I know its illegal, unethical, and unsportsmanlike, but sometimes you just want to know how.
  18. I just got got my new Super Black Eagle II, and I have a question. After purchase I completly disassembled it, cleaned the internal components, and re-assembled. However, I re-lubed the action parts with INHIBITOR rust protector. While duckhunting in 11 degree weather, my first three shots cycled perfectly. I reloaded, and got ready for more ducks. (I'm shooting 3.5" Drylocks. #2s) Well, my first shell exited the gun, but my second shell didn't enter the chamber. I could have possibly taken 2 more Mallards had this thing not jammed, and I was not very happy. I have cycled probably 20 more rounds with no problems, but will this happen again? $1500.00 guns shouldn't jam. EVER! How much "gun oil" should I use? I didn't saturate it, but it was more than you could apply with a cloth application. Could it have been the Inhibitor? Is this stuff intended for use as a lube as well? Should I relube with actual gun oil, and discard the INHIBITOR? Please help
