  1. look for a chain store that sells guns, like Cabela's,gander mt. or Dick's sporting goods.
  2. if you take her duck hunting, don't use the factory mod. choke tube. it's sucks. I bought an extended improvemod. and it's great. now ya, it's tight but that is the way I like it. most of my shots are passovers. now for decoy shots use a improve cylinder. now some people say that the nova kicks with the 3.5" but you get use to it. and it's not realy bad. I like the way it fits and handles. I have never had a singal problem from mine. now is yours camo or black sny.? mine is camo.
  3. that is my only fear with the gun. If I am going to spend $1400 for a gun then I would like it to shoot everything. I know that the recoil system is set up for 3.5" but I shoot a lot of 2.750". a lot of people say that theirs will cycle 7/8 loads but not everyone. I don't know if they can build a smiauto that will fire any loads. but I hope that someone will.
  4. well your in for smoe fun. it's like turkeykrazy saide it's alot of trial an error. I ended up with an mad max. made for #5's and with rem. hevi shot 3.5" it does great.
  5. I have used both the mad max(love it) and the strut stoper. and they both love hevi shot. now with the sturt stoper I did notice that after about 60 rounds it started to show wear in it. the mad max I have put about 35 rounds thro it and not sign of anything.
  6. I like the 5's. it's the inbatween. The 6's are tighter but don't have the knock down as the #4's but the 4's don't like the stay tight for long distances. I have shot my nova at targets out to 65yds. with rem. hevi shot #5's and it penatreaded a 1/4" plywood atleast 35 pellets went thru.
  7. why do you think you need one? the nova is awsome jus the way it is.
  8. just to go along with the patteren master. my brother just bought one for his super X2, and with the #4's it wasn't that great. he was using 3.5 #4's rem. hevi shot. we shot it with 3.5 #bbb and it sucked. but when we shot #7.5 2.750" it was great. know I thought that the patteren master was for "large shot" ? my nova with the improve mod. choke shot tighter then his patteren master. now he was using an Winchester and I was using an benilli. but that is what I found out. Know with my nova I use a strout stopper. I at 40yds, with 3.5" rem. hevi shot #5's I had 75 pellets in the head. I just bought a mad max that is made for #5's and I got about the same as the S.S. but with the mad max I had a lot less "flyers" .
  9. I don't know but I hope that it does because I will be using mine for it a lot.
  10. thanks for the info. I went to Cabelas today and looked at the whole line. and just by looks and by feel I like the sbeII better then the rest. The only thing I don't like is the price, but as long as I get what I pay for then it's worth it. my Nova was. I love that gun. I thought that I might have to buy the recoil system but I didn't. I think with the comfort tech. I woun't need the recoil system? What do you guys/gals think of the cryo system? does it real make a big difference with patteren? sorry for the spelling, it's not my strong point!!!!
  11. thanks tucker301, but what do you consider to be broke in?
  12. Hi, first time on THIS forum. I own an nova 12ga. and love it. I am saving for an sbeII. I also own and winchester superX 2. well I'm looking to up grade. Don't get me wrong I like my x2 but I have heard so much on the new sbeII. I am looking for a gun to do it all. from trap to geese, to turkeys. I adverage about 5000 to 6000 rounds an year. with looking thru the forum I see that the sbeII will cycle just about anything? now with the nova I have a buddy that has one in black sny. and his will not shoot the kent faststeel. and mine with the fully camo it loves them. And with my x2 is balck sny. and it wount cycle anything less then 11/8 oz. and my brothers is full camo and it will shoot anything and mine has had a lot more shells thru it. I was woundring if the sbeII is the same way?
