  1. Some of my friends that have the original sbe say they are able to lay a 4th shell on the carrier, under the bolt and the gun will cycle all 4 shells normally. I have a Browning B-80 this works on as well. Does anyone know if this works with the SBE II? (In other words, will it hold and cycle 4 shells without removing the plug.) 2. Do the limbsaver pads make that much difference over the new gelpad on the SBEII?

    Bought a SBE II

Thanks for the replys. Shot a box of 3.5" steel and a couple 2.75" shells last night. I love it. Turkey hunting this weekend. I can't wait to pattern it for dux and geese also.

    Bought a SBE II

I've just purchase a SBE II. Is there anything special I should know about breaking it in? shooting for the first time? type of oil to use? Can't wait to shoot it.
  5. I'm interested in the sbe II w/o the comfortech stock. I'd rather put the limbsaver pad on it. What is the best price you've seen for this gun in black synthetic?
  6. Anyone know if the length of pull can be adjusted beyond 1 shim and the thicker gel pad on the sbe 2? Can more than 1 shim be used? Also, would the limbbsaver pad possibly increase lop if used on the sbe 2 w/o the comfortech stock?

    Gel Pad

Will the new gel pad or a SIMMs recoil pad fit a regular SBE? (not SBE II) [ 03-08-2005, 11:12 AM: Message edited by: gowest ]
  8. Then let me ask you this; can the new gelpad be installed on the regular sbe?
  9. I'd like to hear from anyone who can compare the recoil of the SBE and the SBE II. Does the new system make a noticeable difference?

    SBE II wish

I agree that camo and black seem to be in demand and Benelli already offers them if thats the preference. I just don't see why the wood version can't be a little sharper. Thanks for the replys.

    SBE II wish

I believe the SBE II is one of the best guns on the market today. That said, I really wish they would take the walnut and flat metal model and make it something nicer. No offense to current owners, but it currently looks a little like an 870 express. What happened to high gloss, dark wood and blued metal parts? Similar to the "Flyway" edition without the engraving and diamond plate. Just my wish, but for $1200+- I would like something more appealing and classic.
