    Rifled barrel

I have just purchast a SBE2 12ga whit a smooth-bore barrel. Now im thinking of hunting wild-pigs whit my Benelli loaded whit slugs instead of my bolt action rifle, since I can fire my second shot faster. My question: Is there a big differens in performens betwin smooth barrel and rifled barrel? What ranges to you shoot games on using smoot barrel and rifled barrel? If I should stick to smooth barrel wich choke should I shose to fire slugs whit? (If I can get it out of the rifle ) //Dandy [ 06-11-2006, 11:15 AM: Message edited by: dandy ]
  3. The SS is a great shoutgun, but its a pure clay shoutgun, Is i SS2 or SS? I have tried SS2 and I would recomend it, but as for a hunting rifle I would shose SBE2 wich I did
  4. Would that picatinny rail fit for my SBE 2? I really would like to have a picatinny rail on it, for quick mount of aimpoint
  5. I got the nice choke wrench! but It didn't help, what's WD-40?? I have tried anti rost spray whitout resoult. Its a long way to the gun dealer I bought it from, so it would be good if I could solve it by my self. My if nothing works ill go to him. BTW, I have searcht the forum about just this whitout resoults
  6. I have just recived my brand new SBE2, but while exploring it (Picking it apart) I couldn't remove the internal choke, its stuck!! It wont move at all. several person has tried to unscrew it, whitout succes. Probobly the factory has screwed it to hard, so it has broken. But is there anyone who has an idea how to unscrew it, solve this issue? I have tried whit gun oil. But it didn't help at all, its like solid rock. Please help, Im heading for the shooting range tomorow to try it out, and need to change choke.
  7. I have had a super sport, and you can't add an mag extension
  8. word But im not an socialist
  9. But is it possible to add an picatinny rail? Are there any made for SBE2? Think it would be the ultimate solution. Are there any dealers who sells Picatinny railes for Benelli SBE2, or any which could fit. Cause I have quick release rings on my Aimpoint that only fits Picatinny rail. And since im both shoting slugs and ordinary round whit the same barrel, I would like to have the option to quickly change betwin Aimpoint and open sights. I could use aimpoint for ordinary rounds, but it aint alouded to use and optiks on competitions.
  10. Yeah I have drilled holes whit liite plugs init, ok, ill think about it. Hope youll enjoy my homecountry Have a good time
  11. Thanks everyone for your help, I have now recived my SBE 2, and I can ashure you that it is a SBE2 Heading down to the shoting range tomorow!!!, and try it out And Ill probobly order a mag extension aswell. One question, what do you think about adding a piccatiny rail on it? Is it possible, would like to be able to switch betwin Aimpoint and open sights quickly. Thanks again
  12. Ops sorry ment shoutgun, in sweden rifle means both shoutgun and rifle BTW, I have some friends in the US who can order a mag extension to me, and then mail it to me, So which is the best homepage to ordere it from? Do you need to have extended licens for buying those things? In Sweden we have a law, that you have to have a plug while hunting if your mag can take more then 2 bullets! 2+1. But not on the shooting range!!!!, Go for some wild clay shooting on the compact sporting range!!
  13. Thanks everyone for your help! I really appreciate it, The issue has been solved, A SBE 2 is ordered from the Benellli factory in Italy, and is on it's way, the moment i write this. The Sako dealer who imports Benellis to Sweden, had said that it wasn't possible to buy a SBE 2 in Europe, and said that "comforth" was the closest thing to a SBE2. But I E-mailed the Benelli factory in Italty and saked them myself if it was possible to buy a SBE 2 in Sweden, and it was. So I called my Sako dealer, told him about this, and then he ordered a SBE2 from Italy! Anyone who knows a god homepage to buy a mag extension from? You cannot buy them in Sweden!, And I would need a mag limiter aswell, other wise I wont be aloud to hunt whit it in Sweden! [ 04-05-2006, 08:24 AM: Message edited by: dandy ]
  14. The Swedish law autorises, to bring in weapons in Sweden, but it could become a very expensive deal, cause all the taxes the Swedish goverment would add. Im going to call the Benelli factory in Europe and see if they are going to start producing SBE2, in the future, perhaps il just wait then
  15. Does anyone know if its possible to add a mag extension?
  16. Thanks for the help, but does anyone know if it's even possible to buy a SBE2 in Sweden (Europe)? Because I rather think I would like to have one of those instead, I have the comforth gun at home for trial. BTW one US dollar is worth eight Swedish "krona"
  17. Thanks for the help tucker, but what do you think about this rifle? Could you compere it whit M2 or SBE2? Is it better or worse? Which one would you shoose? I payed 1800$ Sweden is a expensive country whit lot's of taxes etc "variable geometry trigger release unit" What do you mean with this? Can't find anything about it in tha manual. I think i better take a talk whit my gun dealer about this,
  18. Aimpoint never let's you down
  19. It looks a little bit odd, It doesn't say anywere on the rifle what model it is, pretty strange, And the instruktions belongs to SBE2, Anyone who can tell me, what rifle it is, cause it's shore isn't a SBE2 or M2?
  20. I think il do so, but could you tell if it's a M2 or... that's on the picture I posted? :/ Look at the foregrip it doesn't look anything like the M2 [ 04-02-2006, 03:57 PM: Message edited by: dandy ]
  21. Perhaps this picture show it a little better Please help me, what do you think, should i go back to the weapon dealer and trade it for SBE2 or...
  22. Thanks, But to the knext question, which rifle is this? Isn't it a M2 field? It looks like that But look at the foregrip, it doesn't look anything like the M2, Is it possible to add an mag extension? [ 04-02-2006, 03:21 PM: Message edited by: dandy ]
  23. Hi, I ordered SBE2 from my local gun dealer, when I went to pick it up I noticed, that it wasn't SBE2 It was M2 Field instead. How do you put up an image??? But my question is, what is the main differens? And which one would you shoose? [ 04-03-2006, 01:26 AM: Message edited by: dandy ]
  24. 1. Could you get an mag extension? I use to shot compact sporting whti my friends from time to time and then it could be fun whit thoose extra shot. 2. Is there an slug barrel to buy sow you can change betwin? I use to shot wildpiggs and need a slug barrel, for some better precision then whit the ordinary barrel
