This is why CA. residents are screwed: 1. The standard non-pistol grip version is not listed by Benelli for 2006. 2. Impact Guns & Cal Sporting Armory seem to be the only online retail site that has them or will put you on a waiting list. But both Impact Guns & Cal Sporting Armory will not ship the pistol grip stock M4 to CA. 3. Yes there are the auction sites. This seems to be the only option left. Price is around $1800. Most reputable auctions have high reserve prices set. I wonder if the prices will climb to $2000 since there's a limited supply. I had Traders in Oakland run a check to see if the M1014 is legal in CA. They told me yes at first. But when Traders received the M1014, then they told me that I could not receive it and they shipped it back to the online retailer. They have a long counter in their store and no one wanted to help me when I had this issue. One person after the other ignored me. It took days to resolve this issue. Moral of the story: Do Not shop at Traders in Oakland.

Benelli is making it almost impossible for someone is CA. to buy a M4.

I ordered a 11701 (M1014 Limited Edition) and Traders in Oakland, CA. would not release it to me once it arrived. They said I could not own it and returned it to the online retailer.

Is the model 11703 (CA. legal M4) sold anywhere?

I got an email reply from calssportingarmory.com and this is what they wrote: "We do not show that BenelliUSA is offering the model 11703 (CA. legal M4) for 2006 (not listed in the 2006 price book)."

arvs, thanks for the url link but... I'm in CA. and cals armory has the M4 model 11707 (pistol grip stock) which they will not ship to CA. At the bottom of cals armory webpage on the M4, they state that 11707 is not legal for sale in CA. Who else is taking orders online right now? Please post urls.
