  1. Mudhen.......mine are in the forend, but, don't seem to want to come out. Do they just pop out of the recess?
  2. Tough to pass Mudhen's offer......but....you'll never go wrong buying tubes from George Trulock. http://www.trulockchokes.com/
  3. MUDHEN...........how in the world do you know which call to blow!
  4. Personally, I would never put a metal rod through the bore of any firearm, especially, a sectional rod. For pistol and rifle you'll never go wrong with a Dewey 1 piece nylon coated rod http://www.deweyrods.com/ For a shotgun, I use either a Dewey or a wooden Paker-Hale type rod. Likewise. I first remove the choke tube, get it nice and clean with Trulock Chokeshine, reinsert, then clean the bore. [ 01-03-2006, 01:54 PM: Message edited by: roadrider18 ]
  5. I had to use a shoe string to remove my bolt handle. No way that sucker was going to pop out with a firm tug. I put a little grease on the bolt handle fitting and put in and pulled out about 10 times in a row. Still got to use the string. My forend doesn't "snap" on either. Also the forend "lug" closest to the receiver is very tight and difficult to get over the threads of the mag tube. Everytime I take it off, black material from the forend is deposited on the threads. Also, the bolt NEVER locks to the rear when I cycle the bolt. I always have to use the silver (red dotted) lock lever to lock the bolt rearward. The bolt does lock rear after the last round is fired. I'm coming to the SBEII from Belgian Browning A5's so all of these techniques and idiosyncracies are new to me.

    Turkey Loads

I'm shooting Hevi-Shot out of a SBEII 26" with a George Trulock choke tube. http://www.trulockchokes.com He offers the Precision Hunter in a Turkey .055, .060, and .65 constriction. I bought all 3 and ended up shooting the .060 choke to get my spring turkey last year. The .060 seemed to pattern the best in my barrel. [ 01-03-2006, 08:11 AM: Message edited by: roadrider18 ]
  7. I've tried 'em all, but, a friend turned me on to these products. ABSOLUTELY the BEST! http://www.kgcoatings.com/firearms_home.html Use KG-1 on a 3" patch wrapped around a 20ga brush and swab your 12ga bore clean in seconds. If it's really dirty after an extended period of shooting, use KG-1 then KG-2 then KG-1 followed by some gun oil. I try to avoid the wire brush touching the bore. Do Not pull brush back through the muzzle. The bore of your Benelli will look new for years to come.
