  1. When people vote for the likes of Nancy Pelosi & that Bloomberg nutcase and they actually get elected someone had to vote for them and even Rudy was nuts on gun issues The Govenator did no one any help on the left coast either? Individual states will appeal those decisions and i hope they get shot down again, it's about time the chosen few States get with the overall program and leave the Clinton ban BS where it belongs which is in the garbage along with that blue dress everyone should read the 2nd ammendment and all live by same laws in all 50?

  2. I agree that carpet under a safe is probably a poor vapor barrier and that setting it on tile would be better if it were elevated and if their was any chance of flooding in my area!

Has anyone thought what a loaded gun safe rolling on any kinda round object will do to ceramic tile? I strongly feel that it will only roll a few feet at the most before the tiles start cracking and coming up. I know if mine was given the roll on rods that it would not make it but a few feet down the hallway before it bogged down in cracked tiles! My safe is at max capacity plus i am one that will admit i store all my ammo with all my guns, yes not smart but have not had any issues yet and hope i do not have any! That would be FUGLY! I store a bunch of different ammo in it and i would hate to be the guy that had to tip it to even put a rod under it, it is possible but it better be a HUGE bar with 3 or 4 full grown big boys on it! Still as mentioned it would not make it over any ceramic tiles anyway! I did not think about that before i had tile laid a while back but empty it might make it out of the house if rolled on boards laid down! The place that installed it could not use their motorized safe dolly in my house because of the tight corners they would have to go thru=bummer for them! i have an AMSEC and empty it's kinda heavy!! i also have 2 bags of desiccant inside for corrosion protection which is no problem in NM anyway! Anywhere in Florida i would be concerned about rusting and lubricate all of them with a quality gun grease, only a light coat! Also would keep a close eye on all of them for first hint of rust!

  3. Earthquakes are pretty much a normal occurance in that area and my BIL does not even know that they have had one becasue he has lived in Moreno Valley & Murietta area so long. Maybe a 9.0 will get his attention but the way i see things their gun law manual would have me packed up and gone in the same day anyway!

  4. Great looking shotgun now you can slide down the coast to California and tell the USMC recruiter you are reporting for duty!

  5. I think the Maryland Facility keeps what Benelli Italy sends them and their production volumes have never been that great! I would think they have gotten better over time but could be mistaken! I am sure the Military/LE contracts slow down normal production to a degree? You did do good on price if you only have to wait less than 1 month i would say.

  6. The response you got is normal for an Benelli Imported Firearm? that shotgun normally goes for 1599.00 so i would wait for that price!

  7. Took me 4 months back when they first arrived back in 2003, i ordered it at the end of 03 and it was first couple months into 2004 when it arrived. It even get slower during hunting season! What model number you getting?

  8. Which gun law in particular are ya referring? since they have a book on gun laws which is only around 100 pages long! Kinda like the NM or CO hunting proclamations as far as trying to understand! You guys are welcome to move to NM as we have some great gun laws and the only thing ya should be concerned with is waiving a gun in the presence of a ABQ PD Officer, he could be within hours of starting his weekend which will be extended if he has to use his weapon.:) The will pull it really fast if anyone goes to waiving any kinda firearm and i do not blame them since loaded open carry is OK!

  9. I would think and air conditioner would be of more use especially if you try to carry/buy a firearm in the UAE. i spent some time (217) days, there during the first Gulf War and if you get caught with a firearm an air conditioner would really come in handy in your cell!!:p

  10. I have a SBEII and tried range shooting with it and just could not get comfy with a semi auto on the skeet or trap range and went with a Browining Citori Satin Lightning 12 Ga O&U and could not be happier! My trap/skeet range will only allow you to load 1 shell at a time anyway unless you are skeet shooting doubles and i shot more trap than skeet so as mentioned loading 1 shell became a pain with a semi!

  11. ANY new gun law is one too many! We could all end up like California:eek: but living in NM has it's advantages and hopefully by getting rid of this worthless Governor we have had might help with the border issues WE have in Southern NM! Hopefully our new Governor will address the border since it's really near to her home District? I like this thread, Conspiracy and Obama why does that have a ring to it? Shame on you guys that voted for such a looser!!:)

  12. I would be hesitant on further damaging the Benelli and would send it to a professional shop for a quality finish with a warranty! Mistakes can be expensive but learning the hard way can cost, that is why doing a pro blue job would be the only route to do it properly! I always wipe lube/grease on any barrel i plan to expose to rain while shooting no matter what the finish is.

  13. I could never see my mid bead anyway and i installed an aftermarket front light pipe which pretty much does away with the need of the mid bead but Brownells probably sells them and they have a 1800# hard part will be replacing it since it's so small and very hard to get tools into tighten it? myself i would not waste my time nor money!
