  1. The older 870 Wingmasters were a quality shotgun but all this new stuff can't hold a candle to the older Wingmasters!

Would never buy a new shotgun from Remington due to quality and craftmanship issues!

  2. Been a while gentlemen ... a question for you:

What's the best route for extending the magazine capacity on an SBEII? I've been doing a little "Depredation Permit" deer culling in a shotgun only state and reloading after 4 kills cuts down on efficiency; particularly in the woods. I see some readily available "aftermarket" tubes that are inexpensive. Are they any good, or should a Benelli be bought. I bought a barrel from them once and it took forever to get.

    Thanks!

Aftermarket is only way you can go! The ATF back in 2004 stopped Benelli from importing them due to 922R violation. Most all of the Benelli items are imported and not too many people carried these Benelli items to start with. I was lucky enough to get one of the last few my Benelli Dealer had and cost me 65.00. They are upwards of 250.00 dollars now and IMPOSSIBLE almost to find anymore.

  3. Nope i spend my extra cash on Fishing junk and Rifle Ammio, My Shotgun colection is limited to a SBEII, Browning Citori Satin Lightning and and 2 H&R Single Barrels one a model 48 Topper and the other a newer Topper Classic Deluxe, and they are all 12ga shotguns!

  4. Them things look neat and i would not mind trying one myself, did not take me long to git rid of that small dull red thing on my SBEII that looks just like whatever shotgun you have in that picture? What has been done to that thing? Looks UNIQUE!:D

  5. I agree it will shoot 1 Oz loads but it has to be properly broken in for spring memorization for it to cycle the loads that Benelli says that it will not cycle? Just poor choice for a range gun IMHO:) I would not use the SBEII for clays and i have tried and it shot fine with the 1 oz and never tried the 7/8 oz loads but that gave me the option to get my Citori Satin lightning which shoots anything you want to feed it with no issues plus easier to load than a semi for clays & trap! My range will only allow 1 shell to be loaded unless you are shooting doubles so a semi is a waste of time on my range! All you are asking for is issues and complaints using a SBEII with 7/8 oz loads!

  6. I am very much in interested in buying the Benelli SBE II but I was told that it can not cycle the 7/8 oz light load , the minimum it can cycle is the 1 oz loads with 50/50 success ... How true is that ? Is a there a way around it ?

I am a heavy user of light loads , mostly for clay pigeons.

    Thanks,

Wrong shotgun for what you have in mind, get a range gun, O/U and enjoy shooting clays. The SBEII is not going to cycle that round and Benelli says 1 1/8 ounce is minimum so where the 1 oz came from is wrong info! The SBEII is a meat machine not a dirt machine!

I strongly suggest reading manual before spending $1400-$1600 for a shotgun?

  7. I just bought a Benelli Argo El. That's the european version of the R1. I love this gun for it's awsome beauty and styling. I joined this forum to learn more about it ( I'm a bolt action guy). I have not fired it yet. When I learn to clean it I will dirty it. Now, must say If I had visited this forum before purchasing it I would not have done it. I have never read so much negative advertising in my life. My Gun Jambs, My Gun Has Corosion Problems, My Gun Doesn't Shoot straight. I don't mind someone pointing out a problem and offering advise like the person who started piston problems but the follow up crew- - -whow. I also belong to weatherbynation. Now there's A crew with pride. I am not trying to tick you all off or get booted out although I may not return. I just hope you boys can muster some Pride. (yes there are a few of you and thanks to you I still have hope this gun will work true). As a closer this site must have an administratore. you really should erase many of the non-constructive negative posts starting with mine and return faith in product. P.S. I have not checked out the shotgun forums so I restrict this post to the rifle forum.

For some reason i find it hard to imagine you have not visited the shotgun forum becasue all your issues mentioned with complaints were in the shotgun forums? I would stick with the bolts as i have also done!

  8. that depends on your LOP and putting the shotgun but pad in the inside of your elbow and then reaching up and try to put your finger on the trigger as you would normaly do when you shoot will tell you if it's short or long? So simple to do this and get it rite?

  9. Call CS and show them your issues if you want them fixed? It does look like something went wrong and probably should have not been sold in that condition. But on the other hand tear down a Ruger Mini 14 and see what the barrel looks like next to the gas ports on a brand new rifle. I would be ashamed to show it and from what i have been told by owners that have had them for 20 to 25 years is that this is normal. What i am talking about is much worse than what you have pictured! It does nothing to affect the operation of the rifle and is hidden and looks like grinding was done on barrel but it does not rust and is outta site so i am ok with my issue but totally understand you have a finish problem that needs to be talked about with CS. Good Luck!

  10. You could see if the magnetic stick on Hi-viz sights will line up even with your front bead and if they do they only cost about 20.00 bucks! Not sure if this firearm barrel has a vented rib but it will have to have one for this type of application in which i have on several shotguns and they work fine and do not come off!

  11. Did Benelli suggest you replace these parts? Also what type of lubrication you using on the inside parts of the gun? I would suggest giving CS a call and ask them who had the parts as the whole gun is imported and that keeps a bunch of folks from having parts available! Whole bunch of worthless lubrication on the market and does it malfunction with all shells all sizes or certain ones? BTW

    WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPIGSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOIE:p
