  1. The only thing I've broken on my m4 is a rubber O ring on one of the gas piston retaining cap things, and I only broke that because I was overzealously pinching it trying to remove it for cleaning ... less to take from this is simply not to worry about having your m4 squeaky clean.

  2. I'm saying the means are the means regardless of how you feel about the Fourteenth Amendment. Nothing about the Fourteenth Amendment has changed. It's not at issue. What is at issue is the Second Amendment, and the right result has come of this case.

    Exactly.

Hopefully NY will be getting some love soon.

  3. The scariest thing of all is the utter lack of resistance and outrage.

I truly fear that things will retain the guise of normalcy and control until the absolute breaking point, and then the downfall will be as swift and sudden as this world has ever seen.

Until that point, it will just be a slow, steady downward spiral into socialism, where even the "opponents" of the socialists are weak hearted conservatives at best.

That is my well educated guess.

  4. SRT products are about as solid as you are going to get when you go looking for big horsepower. I have known multiple SRT-4 owners, and cruised the Viper forums a lot, as that is where my interest is, and neither have had anywhere NEAR the issues of the Ford/GM owners. Most foreign cars don't have the power, and those that do cost over 1/4 mil and are delicate as all get out. You are confusing a normal Chrysler product with something from the SRT division. It's like comparing an M4 to an M1. They look similar, but all the guts are different.

I'm not confusing anything. I dated a girl who had an SRT-4 back in 2005 when they were new ... no thanks. I'll take my ball-less Si any day of the week over a ridiculous torque steering, sliding neon that had major problems seemingly every other month. I may not win in a 1/4, but I'd much rather have my car in any type of course that involved turning.

    To each their own.

  5. I am a fan of SRT products. I hope to own one in a year or so.

I'd want one too, were it not for the fact that they are about as reliable as a crackhead repaying his bank loan.

  6. Much crap with USPS went down and stuff was delayed. Pissed. Hopefully by the end of this week I will have it togather.

You have the worst luck with USPS, holy ****.

It's pretty ridiculous ... I'm starting to think it's just the incompetent people at your southern branch somewhere.

  7. please dont pick on o'bama...if you do... we will have to listen to o'tucka

Tucker really only has 2 lines I've seen.

    1) - "But Obama hasn't taken your guns yet!"

    2) - "But George Bush did that too!"

He proudly stated he voted for Obama. He deserves to reap what he has sown.

  8. Yes someday. Learning from Magpul, Mesa Tactical, to name a few. Even they (and MANY others) are having havoc trying to determine concise ETA's. So in short; if we ( carriercomp ) produce the M4 handguard/forend on the drawing board, it will take much longer than I can bear to discuss, while we endeavor to fulfill current production requirements. Meanwhile other significant developments are much nearer to release, which have not been revealed, in order to alleviate dis-enchantment.

Thank you for asking though TK, and know I appreciate your interest.

I smiled as I read this thread.

  9. Its sometimes fun to use a tool that clearly wasn't meant for the job and make it work anyways.

I've done the same thing ... my range has 3 trap throwers in a row, and we've loaded up all 3 and launch at the same time with 9 rounds in the m4 ... fun times.

  10. The Beowulf then is legal in California, a .490 (oversized +.01" for efficient seal) fired from a .490 bore (with .500" grooves).

That makes me wonder why Barrett stepped it down so much in size with their .416 barrett round ... I assumed that it had to be nowhere near the size of a .50.

Perhaps they had designed the round prior to the .50 CA ban, and it was ballistically superior enough that they kept it, and it just happened to also fill the CA need.

  11. Are 6.5 Grendel rifles California legal, anyone know?

I don't think they are treated any different from a 5.56 AR, ie subject to the same restrictions ... but I could be wrong, as I'm not a CA resident and CA has some even more absurd laws than my home state of NY.
