This year I will be turkey hunting with my new SBE1. How does the factory FULL choke compare to the aftermarket ones available for Turkey? What ammo is recommend? Thanks, Anthony 28" barrel

Anyone have any experience with them? (SBE1 shotgun)

One of my buddies houses are in a shotgun county only. After pricing slug barrels for my SBE I thought maybe I should go for a Nova slug gun instead. Would there be any advantages over either choices?

I have been using it for years with good results.

The shims that came in the case with my SBE1 are the A and B. Can I assume the C is installed from the factory? And is the C the the biggest drop in the shims? Thanks

Today I took out my new SBE (right handed) out for the first time. I was using rifled slugs and a Improved cylinder choke. I was consistently shooting high and to the left. I read the manual on the drop shim kit but I'm still confused. Any recommendations? (50 yard range)

i just picked up some Federal Truball slugs and Remington sluggers (both rifled slugs). Later this week I will be testing them at the range and see how they compare. I will be using my SBE using smooth bore barrel and Improved Cylinder choke set-up.

(SBE 1 black synthetic model). What can I oil it with to protect it from the elements?

Thanks Gunner. If I can shoot a slug out of a smooth bore, whats the advantage with a rifled slug barrel? Accuracy? Will I cause any type of damage using the Tru Ball through a standard 28" SBE II barrel?

After reading some the the archives it looks like Foster style slugs are the choice for smooth barrels. Can anyone recommend a brand with in conjunction with a smooth 28" barrel?

What are the main advantages of the SBE2 vs the SBE1?

I am planing to buy a new 12ga for the up coming small game and deer season in NY. I am interested in a Benelli field and slug combo because of all the good press I hear.
