  1. Just to clarify.... Is this rail compatible with a M1 S90? I understand that I will have to drill & tap the receiver of my M1, but is there anything else that I am missing that would not allow this rail to work on my M1?
  2. The Mesa Tactical "Sureshell" shell carrier/rail combo will work on the M1. I have one that I ordered but never used for sale here on the forum. If you you are interested let me know!
  3. Benelli's rails are not to true 1913 spec, but as an option, you can replace the stock Benelli rail with a Mesa Tactical rail/shell holder which works fine with the LaRue mounts. On a side note, there is no finer company to deal with than LaRue Tactical. This should be obvious by Mark's reply above. [ 12-13-2006, 04:57 AM: Message edited by: nickdrak ]
  4. Nemesis, I think the XT07 is ideal for using the X200 on a shotgun or rifle, so for me it was worth the price. The XT07 does not come with the Velcro. I picked some up from Walgreens and cut it to fit.
  5. I got it from G&R tactical. It is the Surefire XT07 tail cap assembly. I think it cost me about $95.00???
  6. NO. You wont be able to use the irons with the Eotech installed on the rail. BUT! The LaRue mount is a QD (Quick Detach) design, and it can be installed and removed in seconds, and it will return to zero each time.
  7. I have a X200B mounted on my M1 S90: It works great, couldnt be happier. This set-up should work the same on an M4. Mine is mounted on the Insight magazine tube rail mount. The B&T mount is nicer, but the Insight munt works just fine. I am also using the new Surefire XT07 tape switch/tail cap assembly which also works great for this application. I prefer to have any weapon mounted light mounted directly in-line (vertically) with the barrel of the firearm (Shotgun, Carbine, Pistol) as it is more practical when clearing corners (left or right). The X200 is a great choice for a weapon mounted light for any shotgun as it is very light weight, it is bright enough (depending on your application), and since it is an LED, it will stand up to the recoil without issues. I believe the X200 is far superior to any other pistol mounted weaponlight design out there, especially the Insight lights. Hope this helps. ETA: Here is a link for the B&T mag tube rail mounts. I would recommend the single rail mount #BT21458 $74.95 as it will allow you to mount the X200 in-line vertically with your barrel: B&T M4 magazine tube rail mount Stay safe, Nick [ 11-29-2006, 04:44 AM: Message edited by: nickdrak ]
  8. Found one on Ebay [ 12-13-2006, 04:58 AM: Message edited by: nickdrak ]
  9. Take a look at the LaRue IronDot in their "LOW" mount. They should be shipping from LaRue soon. The TrPower is indeed a 1x optic (no magnification) much like the Aimpoint or Eotech. I prefer the TriPower over the others due to its chevron reticle, which for ME is much faster and precise than either the Aimpoint's dot or the Eotech's reticle. Here is some more info on the Tripower: Tripower review [ 11-02-2006, 04:07 PM: Message edited by: nickdrak ]
  10. Still havent been able to locate one of these yet. Ebay or elsewhere. C'mon now! Someone around here must have one that they dont need.
  11. Other than the Eotech, which is a excellent sight, I think you should take a look at the new LaRue tactical "IronDot" MicroDot sight/mount combo: LaRue IronDot with LOW profile mount I have one of them with the LOW profile version mount on order from LaRue, and they should start shipping in the next two weeks. It will be lower than the Eotech, and will allow a more conventional cheekweld. The Pride/Fowler dot sights have been out for a little while now, and have received good reviews from all that have gotten their hands on them. I also trust Mark LaRue to the point that I know he WILL NOT ALLOW a sub-standard product out of his shop. Or even a sub-excellent one [ 10-12-2006, 12:47 PM: Message edited by: nickdrak ]
  12. Gents, Where would be the best place to look for a standard synthetic stock (non-pistol grip) for my M1 S90 Tactical? Anyone here got an extra one layin' around??? [ 10-06-2006, 12:37 AM: Message edited by: nickdrak ]

    Weapon light!

I have one that I switched out for the Insight Technology magazine tube mount (Mod. #CFL-900-A1). The Brownells mount was too bulky for my purposes as I was mounting a Surefire X200B on it, and the Insight mount was lower profile and lighter than the Brownells mount. The only issue with the Insight mount is that it only has one squared picatinny style slot, and some light mount wont fit on it as they need atleast two slots. I still have one of the Brownells 3-rail mounts new/un-opened. If you are interested let me know. Here are pics of how the two look mounted: ***Insight CFL-900-A1*** ***Brownells/Lite Mount Tech. 3-Rail Mount*** [ 10-03-2006, 11:32 PM: Message edited by: nickdrak ]
