I'm considering picking up an M1 20 ga as a backup and optional gun for close work over decoys. I would appreciate anyone's experience with this gun for waterfowl. I borrowed a friends last year and while we were talking a goose came passing within 35 yards. It hit the water dead with one shot (I know, a lucky shot). I was so impressed with the guns weight that I am really thinking this might be a viable waterfowl gun if you pick your shots. Thanks guys, Jim

What's your primary? I just bought a Nova (black syn) for my back up to my Super X2. I do plan to use it for field geese as well just so I can get some more use out of it. Having watched and read awhile about the Nova, I think I purchased the best pump out there.

I just read a great article about Hevi Steel. But then I read posts from guys saying they see no difference. Hard to get to the facts! I suppose if we work the birds right and they cooperate, we wouldn't need to be concerned with lethality at 50 yds
