  1. How old does a kid have to be to buy one of those? They look real enough to get somebody killed or cause a panic (with a little black tape or paint).

You ought to have to be old enough to buy the real thing to get one of those.

I would strongly recommend you evaluate the ramifications of that statement.

In most states you must be 18 to purchase or with Parent/Guardian. And they do get people killed every so often. Cops and robbery victims are constantly shooting airsoft/replica weilding people. I said people and not suspects for a reason. Police respond violently to brandished firearm calls (often lil johnny and his airsoft friends). And robbery victims respond violently to being robbed (often 2pac who cant buy a firearm). This is also why many state have had court rulings against felons with airsoft guns as being felons in control of firearms (even though the laws clearly exclude them from being classified a "firearm").

FYI homies, these judges can bend the rules no matter what your state law says, any lawyer or cop who tells you different is yankin yer chain. But all this ******** aside, Great Britain has stricter airsoft laws than Cali has firearm laws. Justifying these fascist laws against TOY guns (yes once the reals ones are gone, they go after the toys)...with claims of higher robbery rates, etc.

Even moreso with TOYS than firearms, we don't want to use the gen. pops' stupidity as validity to let the government ban/control things. Bad policy.

  2. my M80 has had no problems 300+ rounds. ive also inquired about the issues but they seem to not be wide-spread and originate from older productions (and also had relatively easy home fixes).

and if you want to be superhyphy, put an aimpoint mini on top the reciever, and on the left side of the handguard so that if you have to shoot with the stock over yer shoulder in tight quarters, you'll have a red dot still. lol.

  3. Yo, I read the article about LAPD getting M4's in Guns and Ammo's Combat Arms magazine. The writer used a model (LAPD's) with a prototype MESA Tactical shorter LOP fixed pistol grip stock. I called MESA and talked to a guy there this morning. He said I was the second person who called and that they had just made a few protos for LAPD but have heard nothing back from LAPD concerning the protos and did not know when they would be commercially available.

BUT HE DID SAY THEY WOULD BE AVAILABLE. I'M ******* JUICED! **** YEAAAAA!!!!!!

How sweet would a super tight 9 or 8 pellet tracer shell be super ++P high freakin velocity buckshot.

GOD! I'm about to have a seizure seeing anime mullticolored buckshot flying though the air in a tight group all pokemon and **** ******* badass YYYYEEEAAAAAA **** YEAAAAa!!!!!!!

  5. I just spoke to a Surefire Rep. He said the issues of there being a small gap were pertaining to a good number of consumers installing the system backwards. He also said he had not heard of any FTE issues pertaining to pressure being placed on the forearm near the pistons.

I am planning on trying to make my forearm fail in any way next time I go to the range as he said if the forearm were defective, out of spec, or problematic that it would be replaced. I need to find the thread concerning the FTE issue being fixed with 3m tape....

I pretty sure no model of aimpoint (definately not the eotechs) will cowitness with the ghost rings. I do not know if a Docter will or not (pics anybody?)..?

The 2 real key factors for me are comfortable cheek weld and quick release mounting. By quick release I don't mean that you need a throw-lever, but at least a thumbscrew. You don't want to be ducking behind cover fumbling with an allen-wrench just so you can access you buis. I have an eotech on mine (yes, still) and do not like it one bit. Even with a blackhawk cheek pad, the cheek weld is horrible and I feel sloppy when shooting it. I much prefer the ghost rings. I plan on switching to a Docter or aimpoint mini if I ever get around to it, either way whatever I put on there is gonna have a thumbscrew.
