  1. Thanks tucker. So acetone will remove the hydrograph film, what about the primer?
  2. My SBEII runs my 1oz skeet loads fine. Thre are however running at 1250 fps.
  3. ...remove the camo? Is the stock "roughed up" prior to dipping? Will it look bad? Not real concerned but don't want it to go that way if it will look like it lost a fight with a sander or wire brush. Looking to buy a camo stock from a friend, his is camo but my SBEII is black. (been a while, glad to be back!)
  4. A buddy has CamoClad on an old 870 and is OK IMO. It stays on in all weather. If you are set on camo, get it dipped. I have a black SBEII and a camo M1. I am happy with either and if camo on the gun is crucial to a hunt that I have the SBEII on - there is always plenty of dirt around (wet glove and dirt, mop it on the stock, don't clean it off the stock during the season). If the birds are close enough to see the black gun as something out of the ordinary - it is usually when I am swinging it up at them and pulling the trigger.
  5. I know nothing of the Primos set but take a look at Briley and Trulock as well. You can get two for the same price as the Primos set. Other than here, I don't hear much about them. I also have a Terror tube but think they are over rated. As for your choke question: Neither will work well for both, these two chokes cover much different ranges. IC will not adequately cover longer ranges (40 yd) and Mod will be too tight for "in the decoys" (20 yd)... Pattern both at 20 and 40 - you'll see for yourself. I bought an LM from Briley to span these ranges (great 30 yd) - but it is still too tight for Good luck!
  6. What gun? I like the factory tubes in my SBEII but I do see a little better patterns with the Briley X2's over the "mobil" chokes. Are you not happy with the patterns you are getting now?
  7. That is correct, Benelli and Beretta state "No Steel" (and one would assume any other no-tox shot) through their IM and F chokes. I bought the Briley X2 Extended chokes in LM (to fill the gap in factory tubes) and IM to tighten up steel and other no-tox patterns at longer ranges.
  8. Hmmm, they told me the IM was ok for steel as well. Been running up to BBB through the X2 IM.
  9. Thanks! I liked it before and hope to "fit back in". I just picked up a M1 to go with my SBEII as a back up. Long story short, I was talked out of my good ol' A390. Hope that I did not make a mistake...
  10. Are there tables where I can look up how old my new (to me) M1 Super 90 is?
  11. Hello - I used to be registered here and really like the forum. Work got me real busy, I still am, but with the seasons coming up I am back to checking things out here. I guess the system was changed here as my handle and email addy came up as not registered. Oh well, I just thought I'd say "howdy".
