Without ducks it sure wouldn't be much fun to be a duck hunter would it? I support DU, have for years. I have been on 3 committees (all successful by the way). I think the whole thing of DU vs DW is ridiculous. They are both good organizations, support one or both but don't bash them. It's for the ducks remember! I personally will support both of them this year. I figure the more organizations we support the better chance we have for helping the ducks!

I have been blessed. I co-own a company at the age of 22 and do not work from October-March! That and my family owns some land in the Mississippi Delta so I do not fight the crowds on the WMA's here. I love hunting and I am in a profession that allows me to enjoy that passion!

Here is one a buddy took on our trip to North Dakota back in October.

We had a good hunt Wednesday. Killed a 5 man limit of Mallards, Pintail, Teal, and Shovelers. Will post a pic when possible did not have my camera so i'll have to get pics from my buddy. Stole a picture from my buddy

Today was a water chicken smack down. Me and a buddy made the local security guard at the nursing home mighty happy!

3 inch hevi shot number 4's (6's in the timber) out of a SBE or Nova with a Kicks high flyer choke. About $32-35 per 10 but worth every penny of it in my opinion. If I am shooting "regular" steel shot it is Federal 3 inch number 1's out of the same choke. I got 2 cases of this for free so I'm not sure of the price per box. I shoot this at Divers and Geese or when I run out of Hevi Shot

You are correct friend! It's not about the ducks so much to me as it is watching the excitement in that dogs eye or taking a kid hunting for the first time. Heck some of my best hunts this year we didn't kill anything or one or two ducks. It's the friends your with and God allowing me one more beautiful sunrise to witness. I have been on hunts this year where my little brother killed his first deer and a very close family friends nephew killed his first duck with me. I laughed more on those two hunts than any with my "serious" hunting buddies. Heck I think I was more excited than both of the youngsters! I am only 22 years old but I remember like it was yesterday the folks who spent time with me making sure I enjoyed the outdoors. My dad was a big shooter but not a big hunter so others took me and taught me. I got a chance to take my dad and brother this year and that is a trip I will never forget. It's not about the killing! It's about the little things that happen on each hunt that make it worth going. Not gonna say I don't like having a strap full when we leave though

Was hunting this morning and had several (4-6) FTFs (failure to fire). Dented the primer but did not go of. Put one in my over and under and it shot fine. The shells also shot fine out of the condor so I'm sort of ruling out bad shells (both Remington and winchester steel shot in 2 3/4 and 3inch)! Any idea's guys? I did triple on Speckle bellies this morning though:)
