  1. I have read where some have used the Comp-n-choke and had good results.I have used and still use the Primos Jellyhead. It is a very good choke, hard to beat, lots cheaper than several of the other chokes also.I think it is cheaper than the comp-n- choke by a good margin also.I dont think you will have any complaints about the Jellyhead.

  2. QuakerBoy,have you had a chance to pattern the new TruGlo choke tube you mentioned?I looked on the TruGlo website and saw the tube you are talking about. It is called the StrutStopper Extreme and has an i.d. of .643 for the Benelli choke.!The tubes we are seeing at the WalMart and BassPro are called the GobbleStopper Extreme, and they are .665i.d. in the Benelli choke. There is/was a GobbleStopper tube, not the extreme, that had an i.d. of .649 for the Benelli. It isnt a ported tube.Is the GobbleStopper a new tube also?

  3. The older model benelli and beretta chokes are the same choke used for the Stoeger2000.They are all fitted with the Mobilchoke. The newer Beretta and Benelli(the higher end guns)mostly are fitted with the Crio choke system so y9ou have to make sure you are getting the Mobilchoke when you buy one for the Stoegers.I am not sure what chokes the O/U and S/S Stoegers use.Hope this helps ya!

  4. Thanks for the reply Novaking,I was hoping someone here had put a limbsaver on the steadygrip stock. There doesnt seem to be an aftermarket or a factory pad made to fit the steadygrip besides the one that comes with it.I suppose I will have to make an adapter and fit a pad to it.

  5. I am thinking of buying a Nikon or Burris red dot to mount on my Supernova.Anyone here ever used one or both on a turkey gun?I wish they were available with the green dot also, like the Bushnell, but these appear to be the better red dot scopes!

  6. I looked at a few shotgun scopes and some red dot sights at the local Bass Pro today.I think if I put anything other than the fiber optic sights that I already have on my shotgun,it will probably be a red dot sight, mainly because of the eye relief and the field of view.I looked at the bushnell and the Redhead brand red dots.I liked both of them but the Redhead brand dot was fuzzy,(it was the 4reticle model)even on the lower power, plus the dial for the reticle change quit working. The Bushnell was pretty nice, had a choice of 4 reticles, plus you could change from red to green dot on all reticles. The green is alot easier to look past at your target.I dont know how the green would work in spring time with the surroundings being green also.

  7. 10gauge ,there is a post about the comfortech somewhere on here i read,I believe it was Quakerboy that said the comfortech helped some with the 3" loads, made them feel like hot target loads ,and the 3 1/2" loads still felt like 3 1/2" loads.I have never shot the comfortech so I could not say from personal experience.

The button on the lower side of the forearm on the Supernova is a mag cutoff. You can unload the chamber without releasing a shell from the magazine tube by sliding the forearm back a couple of inches, that allows you to press the button. Then you slide the forearm all the way back and it unloads the shell from the chamber, allowing you to reload the chamber with a different load or leaving the chamber empty. You can also use the button to unload the gun without running all the live rounds thru the chamber.Hope this helps ya!

  8. Thank you for the reply 10gauge,I just bought a Supernova also, got tired of thinking about it and just did it,lol.I was at the local BassPro and they had a Supernova w/steadygrip in the RealtreeAPG and it decided to follow me home.I will let you know how mine does also.I havent had a chance to shoot it yet,the weather hasnt been so good here either.Have you ever used any kind of optic to turkey hunt with?

  9. I have been wanting to replace the pad on my Supernova steadygrip with a lil better pad,one not so hard.I was just looking on the Benelli website and it appears the pad for the SBEII and the Supernova Comfortech stocks mount the exact same way as the pad on my steadygrip.Anyone here know if they are the same pad,and or will interchange?TIA

  10. I was at the local BassPro yesterday and started to buy a couple more chokes to try in my Supernova but held off.Quakerboy be sure and let us know what the results are from the TruGlo tube you mentioned.I started to buy a Truglo from BassPro yesterday but didnt.I wonder if its the same tube that you mentioned?TIA

  11. I have a Legacy that malfunctioned a couple of times while I was pheasant hunting but it was my fault. The reason the gun didnt kick out the hull and load the 2nd shell was because I had lubed the rails on the bolt and it was pretty cold out.I had used a very light grease but still too heavy. The bolts on those guns are chromed so they run alot better with really thin oil or nothing at all.I use EEZOX,a very thin synthetic,to lube the bolts in my Benelli's now!No problems.I have a SBE that has jammed once,it pulled a huge piece of corn fodder into the action along with the shell while pheasant hunting. That was the only time it has ever failed to fire.

  12. You are also forgetting that Bill Clinton gave away the Panama Canal,a very important route for ships coming into and out of the commerce lanes for the US.

You are also forgetting that he is also the one that signed into law the Assault weapon ban that President Bush let sunset.

You are also forgetting that he is the one that could have signed the executive order to"sanction" Osama Bin Laden, before he had the chance to mastermind the plans that killed thousands of people on American soil, did untold billions of dollars of damage, seperated many children from parents that were killed in the towers, not to mention the many thousands more that could have been killed if it werent for the heroes that fought to take over the other jet before it could reach its target!

President Bush isnt perfect, noone is,but then can you imagine how hard it would be to get something done when a whole other party that controls one whole side of the government is just waiting to twist anything you try to accomplish. This happens in both parties, both are guilty of it!

  13. When Obama was sworn in there was a big stink in the news about him not using the bible, was a few years back. Who is Barack Obama?

Probable U. S. presidential candidate, Barack Hussein Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Barack Hussein Obama, Sr., a black MUSLIM from Nyangoma-Kogel, Kenya and Ann Dunham, a white ATHIEST from Wichita, Kansas.

Obama's parents met at the University of Hawaii. When Obama was two years old, his parents divorced. His father returned to Kenya. His mother then married Lolo Soetoro, a RADICAL Muslim from Indonesia. When Obama was 6 years old, the family relocated to Indonesia. Obama attended a MUSLIM school in Jakarta. He also spent two y ears in a Catholic school.

Obama takes great care to conceal the fact that he is a Muslim. He is quick to point out that, "He was once a Muslim, but that he also attended Catholic school."

Obama's political handlers are attempting to make it appear that Obama's introduction to Islam came via his father, and that this influence was temporary at best. In reality, the senior Obama returned to Kenya soon after the divorce, and never again had any direct influence over his son's education.

Lolo Soetoro, the second husband of Obama's mother, Ann Dunham, introduced his, stepson to Islam. Obama was enrolled in a Wahabi school in Jakarta. Wahabism is the RADICAL teaching that is followed by the Muslim terrorists who are now waging Jihad against the western world. Since it is politically expedient to be a CHRISTIAN when seeking Major public office in the United States, Barack Hussein Obama hasm joined the United Church of Christ in an attempt to downplay his Muslim background.

ALSO, keep in mind that when he was sworn into office he DID NOT use the Holy Bible, but instead the Kuran (Their equivalency to our Bible, but very different beliefs)

  14. To reply on whether Barack Obama is a black irishman or not,the answer is NO! Barack Obama is a black MUSLIM,thru and thru. When he was sworn into office he would not swear on the bible,he was sworn in on the Book Of Koran!May be spelled Kuran, not sure, anyhow that is the Muslim bible! He wont put his hand on his heart when the National Anthem is being sung, and wont salute Old Glory! He should not have ever been allowed to be in the office where he is now!I got an email explaining what his background was, really bothers me that anyone in these United States would even think of voting for him!

  15. These days there is no such thing as a safe area. With all the gun permits being issued and more awareness of crime and the need for guns, criminals will or already are branching into areas that others feel are safe for them to be in.Makes alot of people an easy target having this false sense of security! I sure am glad your girlfriend had the fortitude to grab the shotgun, rack the slide and tell the intruders she had a shotgun. She probably doesnt know how lucky she was that you had the gun where she could get to it.I hope that they catch them before they have a chance to invade someone else's home and or do someone bodily harm!Maybe you should try to talk her into taking a firearm defensive course.

I just watched an episode of Personal Defense TV on the Outdoor Channel featuring a lady instructor at Gunsite.I wish I were close enough to take their course, and I feel that everyone who owns a gun and has an interest in their own defense should take a defensive firearm course.

  16. Well I just bought a new Supernova with the steadygrip today, makes my fourth Benelli, all of which I am proud to own, lol.I am gonna retire my SBE from turkey hunting if all goes well with the Nova.So anyway I was wondering what kind of optics you guys use and any recommendations you have.I looked at a few shotgun scopes last year, seems like I sorta like one of the Bushnells and also liked the Nikon I think.Might be ok to use a holosight,if they can stand the recoil. What do you guys use and what experiences have you had with any of them?
