  1. Took me probably 20 minutes and most of that was trying to get my snap ring pliers to grab the hammer pin snap ring. I had to grind them down for another project so they don't work like they should.

Some things that helped me, when you push the trigger pin go left to right. Don't push it all the way out. If you push it just far enough to remove the trigger, the you won't have to contend with the shell release lever spring upon assembly. Also holding the trigger upside-down, placing the trigger spring into the hole in the bottom if the trigger, and then sliding the trigger into the FCG fram while it is held upside down will help with not loosing the trigger spring and make it easier to seat the trigger into place. I know that sounds complicated, but it's not. It will all make sense one you start.

The parts come with good instructings and other here have posted some good advice that will assist you.

thank you for your help with this. I can visualize the steps as you are describing them. What kinda grease are people using to lubricate the hammer, trigger and disconnector assembly? It sure looks like grease as opposed to gun lube.

  2. The GG&G sinlge point sling attachment ONLY WORKS WITH THE FIXED STOCK. The locking nut must be adjusted to provide clearence between the stock and reciever.

I have this part installed on my M4 with the field stock. With the pistol grip stock I cant seem to get it installed properly, even with the adjustments I have to make. Does anyone else have the same problem?

  3. Thanks SD,

The 1st batch (approximately 30 hammers) is scheduled to ship to us June 14th (next Tuesday).

Will list as soon as previous email inquiries have been notified and "dibs" either seized or passed.

The second batch is anticipated less than two weeks later.

Mr Geissele is on vaction after that, and reports he will build more after the initial field trials trickle in from these first two batches.

EDIT: We agreed to first fill previous customer inquiries sent to [email protected] subject line reading BM4FCG.

Those first 30 inquiries received through April 25th 2011 will be given courtesy "dibs" on the first batch.

I fully expect there will be more than enough in the second batch (3 weeks from today) to fill the remaining demand. It is projected that within 45 days all current demand may be met, and excess inventory will be on hand.

    wow, this is amazing!

  4. I just read an interview with Bill Geissele of Geissele Automatics that was released today, and he indicated that they are working on a new trigger for the Benelli M4. I wonder if they are the company CarrierComp is working with. I hope so, as I have a Geissele trigger in my LaRue Tactical OBR 7.62, and it is sweet! Their M16 triggers were safety certified by Crane Naval Surface Warfare Center, and all the 'Tier 1' SOF units use their triggers.

do you have a link to the article?

  5. I really like the standard sporting stock also.

While I also think it looks better (thats just my subjective opinion), I think sporting stocked shotguns are more "ergonomically correct" and user friendly as far as the manual of arms is concerned, as long as we are just talking about tube-fed sporting based guns.

That said, I've got a C-Stock for my M4, but the pistol grip is more of a necessary evil to get the short collapsed length.

If I ever do any 3-gun shooting again, I'll be fitting it with a sporting stock also.

    Nice looking shotgun.

Thanks Kevin! I am a skinny guy, so for me firing the M4 with the pistol grip stock is more comfortable since I feel the pistol grip helps absorb more of the recoil. With the standard stock all the recoil gets transferred to my shoulders :(

I agree, plus I feel more comfortable with the standard stock - just too many years of using a sporting shotgun to switch now. I was wondering if you thought the same, and it looks like there are several other that agree as well.

I am not fond of the pistol grip stocks on shotguns, and I'm looking to add a standard stock to mine as soon as I can. I think I have a standard replacement stock coming to me that I found here on this forum.....at least I'm hoping it fits! In case I guessed wrong, do you have any idea about which other Benelli stocks can be used - or where I could find the standard replacement?

    Thanks

I bought my standard stock from Able Ammo, somewhere in Texas.

  6. Why did you decide to run the "Standard Stock" as opposed to the pistol grip?

To make it look less evil and more like a sporting shotgun

That Standard stock has class. It brings out the "boomstick" in the M4. I like it. I didn't want to say anything about the magazine you stuck with but since you posted about waiting for Kip and his biblical parts I guess I should say... Your gun with a full length Kip's tube would make me cream my pants. AWSOME.

    LOL, that's ok.....

  7. Nice looking M4 sir!

Wow, that is nice. There's something appealing about that field stock. Good looking gun!

Thanks guys! Unfortunately I would love to have the factory collapsible stock and full length tube one day, but I want to wait until Carriercomps hammers, disconnects etc are all released first. In the meantime, this is my primary home defense weapon.
