  1. I've owned my M4 since 2008, here's a picture of how it stands:

  2. I was afraid that an issue like this might arise, and my instincts proved to be true. This is why I decided to hold off on purchasing the FFT forend until the bugs and kinks are worked out in the first couple of batches. Hopefully the manufacturer will correct this soon.

  3. I have two on the way! Now if Kip releases his parts, we'd all be happy!

    I wholeheartedly agree!!!

    :D

Not having delt with FFT before, I'm hoping their are no first production quality issues with this forend.

I'll say he is on top of it though. Order it yesterday and it ships today.

Hummm..... becuase of this very issue I decided to hold of on ordering my forend until some people have bought and reviewed them first. i dont like being the guinea pig for any newly released product. I'll hold off for a few more weeks before I place my order.

  4. a little off topic, but if one had a usa full length magazine tube and follower, and the field stock, would they be in violation of 922r? i know that most of the time folks are talking about the pistol grip models.

I ask because this would be a great way to get another usa part while keeping the gun stock looking, however no need to get one unless needed.

You can get your answer by reading FFT's FAQ page! :)

Federal LE Tactical Low Recoil TRU-BALL Rifled Slug

    TruBallBox&Cutaway.jpg

I use the same slugs on my Benelli M4

For me I use my Benelli M4 for home defense also. It has the standard stock, factory standard choke tube, stock shell saddle for 5 shells, Meprolite night sights, GG&G release and charging handle, and sling adaptor.

I keep my M4 on the side of my bed, and along my headboard is my hearing proctection along with a bandolier of assorted Winchester 2.75" Military 00 buck, Federal slugs, like in the picture above, and some birdshot.

  6. Replace as many as reasonably possible. You never know when you will get an a-hole, a rookie or an outright moron. Many threegunners were denied the right to use their M4 because of the evil tube extensions. Their RO said it wasn't legal. Therefor, they didnt get to play.

So when this special group in our society are encountered, it is best to have your bases covered. Parts that say US made are better than ones that do not. The reason being is the onlooker in a position of power is a moron and probably couldn't tell a factory follower from a Brownells one.

Consider that the BATFE is lax on 922, right now. Will they always be? Will new laws be penned? Will grandfather clauses exist for preexisting compliant weapons?

carriercomp has shown their products to be superior to Benelli's factory parts. It's not a step backwards in quality like with many manufacturers making products for the M4. I forsee Kip making a package deal for compliance in the very near future. Mag tube, mag follower, hammer and disconnector. Probably for 250 - 275$.

    I cant wait for this!!

  7. I'm happy to report the GG&G side sling loop is now on my M4 Shotgun (I knew you'd be worried! )

The stock bolt was heavily blue-Locktited (if that's a verb) and took a lot of torque to get off with the deep 13mm socket.

Also happy to report the trigger group almost drops in with the extra space from the sling loop.

    Waiting for sling parts.

Please post up some photos when you are done

  8. I still don't understand why you have to unscrew the buttpad from the stock to install this. Looks like you just unscrew the stock, slip the mount over the receiver extension. Screw the stock back into place.

    What am I missing?

By doing this you are allowing the stock to have more thread of you will to screw into the receiver tube. since you are losing about 1-2mm of space already by putting the sling mount on, the idea is to have the stock screwed on snug and tight so that it wont fall or break off the gun if you happen to drop it...

  9. I was wondering, sicne I was looking down the hole running thru the stock I saw something like a pointed rod which might serve as an alignment guide for the stock. Or maybe its supposed to rest against the back of the recoil spring tube to prevent the recoil spring from shooting out the back, I dont know????

Can the M4 theoretically fire with out the stock on safely??

  10. Hey there,

I just installed a single point attachment (By KZ) ... but I assume the steps are similar ...

Once you have the stock removed .. Remove trigger assembly and unscrew counterclockwise ... you should be able to simply slip the mount on an reattach all parts ...

Could you specify more clearly what the problem is ??

    Good Luck,

    Dr Or

I just wish the instructions came with pictures illustrating each step of the install.

Removing the recoil pad doesn't make sense. It looks like it would just slide onto the recoil tube from the bottom and then screw the stock back on.

If you have to remove the recoil pad for some reason, it's easy ... stick a screwdriver through the two holes in the pad and unscrew it.

Thats the thing I am scared about, how the heck do I get a screwdriver thru two tiny little holes on the recoil pad without marring the rubber??

  11. Hello guys, I just go the GG&G M4 side sling adapter plate loop. It goes in between the stock and the receiver, and I have having trouble installing it. I reviewed the instructions and I dont understand a few things. They say to remove the recoil pad with a #2 philips screwdriver, but I am not sure how to go about doing it....

    Has anyone done this mod??

  12. Thanks for the replies. I'm pretty stoked about the current configuration with the exception of the bolt handle. The GG&G is better than stock, and was only $25, but I'll hold out for the one Kip is producing. The bolt-release is super trick IMHO. I don't think the ridges are too aggressive like some have complained about and the purchase on the thing in use is awesome. It's also rock solid in terms of function. I also came up with a solution for the receiver marring issue that someone was complaining about. I used a small, circular felt adhesive pad on the inside between the button and the receiver. When you slam it home the felt acts as a cushion when the two meet. I cut it to fit around the post and made it small enough to where you can't even tell it's there unless you look.

Thats a brilliant idea sir! I need to try that!
