  1. I like most of the other posters stop by often but don't post much. I love my Benelli SN Tactical. I carry it as my duty shotgun after my Chief opened the private carry option. Personally, I like pictures of what others have done. I don't know the mechanics of the shotguns so I'm not much use to most of you. But, I do like this forum. Duvall
  2. Never, thats the best part! Duvall
  3. Is that the KA-1212BR from thier website? How does that get installed? It looks like more than I can handle. Duvall

I think I will need to see pics of this too! Duvall
  5. You know, I think that is a fantastic idea. I fact, if you do it...I must be emailed the pictures to show my wife as "a must have" for family defense! Duvall
  6. That does suck. I think the Nortic extension looks "cool", "really cool", but I don't imagine it works any better then the tacstar version that is cheaper. If it were me, I would send the nortic back and by a tacstar and use the extra cash for your light! But that Nortic does have the "tacticool" factor. I almost sent my tacstar back for it but decided the Tacstar was just fine. Duvall

Okay after noticing that you were talking about the mesa tactical clamp and not the nortic, I think it should work just fine. That is similar to the mount I have on my AR-15 so ya, I think it's fine. But 70 bucks....ouch. The price we pay for our toys...! Duvall

I don't know if it works with the Nordic clamp. I have not seen one very close. It should fit on anything with a lip on it that is atleast 1/2 inch wide. I have one on the rail of a glock and one on a 1913 pictatinny rail on my AR. I can't imagine a clamp of anystyle that the light could mount on. I could be wrong. I have never really looked into any picatinny attachments for the SNT. I would think they are out there somewhere. Let me know if you find something. Duvall

    Light setup

I have several lights I use for work. All the major light companies, surefire, steamlight ect are going to sell you a good product. You are gonna want LED because those little 3 volt batteries for these lights are expensive. The one you put up was fine being that it is LED. You might want to think about buying a light that has the option of a pressure switch. I know from experience that trying to use your support hand to operate your light, while trying not to get shot at, can be stressful. I am sure that surefire makes something like that. I like the Streamlight TLR-1 with the pressure switch attachment. I don't have a light on my SNT, but I do have it on my Bushmaster AR-15. It works fine, but you will spend a few extra bucks. I did not have the pressure switch at first but after looking for a guy who ran in the woods after crashing a stolen car at the end of a car chase, I really wanted something that required me to do the least amount of moving/thinking about the gun and would just let me focus on my safety and finding him.
  10. I have mixed emotions. I kinda like the idea but I have kids so it's right out. I guess if I was still single and didn't have to worry, it might not be a bad idea. Oh right, when I was single... I never made my bed! Duvall
  11. I bought a barrel/mag tube clamp from Cabela's. It is not the right part. It is a mag tube/flash light mount. I am gonna take the wrong part back. Q. Do I really need the clamp? Some say yes, while others say no. One argument for the clamp is that the extension could fall off while shooting. One argument agaist is that the clamp could throw off your zero. Anything else I should be thinking about? Duvall
  12. Thanks, as it turns out; I bought the mount that is for the mag extension and a flashlight. The guy at Cabela's said it would do the same thing. However, instead of rounding off on top of the barrel, it almost appears to have wings, similar to that of the rifle front sight. That will be going back. Duvall

    Duracoat.

Does anyone have any pictures they can post of duracoated benelli's? I have been thinking about it but some of the guns I have seen on the net look almost toy like. Any ideas? Thanks, Duvall
  14. Thee, Do you know if that Nordic Comp barrell/mag clamp will work on my SNT with a tacstar extension? I bought the tacstar clamp and am not happy with it. Please let me know. Duvall
  15. That was a real pain in the a$$ to look at but once I got it I have to say that the extention is really nice looking. I kinda wish that I had not already got that tacstar extention. Nice work. Duvall
  16. Welcome. I have to respectfully disagree with some of the above posters. I am right handed and left eye dominate. I feel that it is easier to shoot with my left eye half closed then try to use my left hand for anything. I am a competition shooter, police officer and police sniper. I have no problem applying the smallest of muscle movement to my left eye and my right eye takes over. I can still see out of my left, although not as well, but if the average gun fight is 3-5 seconds, then I would choose to change my eye and not my handedness. Quick misses don't do you any good. Just my .02 cents. Stop by often, there are some very knowlegable posters who have helped me alot. Duvall
  17. If he got one round off that is of course, too many. However, I would have liked to have seen how well he shot. Just for my own curiosity. Nice post Duvall
  18. Thanks Andy, I have two good remarks for the Mesa and so far none for EGW. Hopefully someone can respond as to how they like the EGW before I get impatient and just order the Mesa. Gun looks sharp. Duvall
  19. Thanks Ladd, I like the look of that EOTECH on there. I am looking forward to ordering my rail as soon as I do some more research. Duvall
  20. I have researched this forum and found two choices for my SNT. I found the Mesa Tactical (picatinny only) and the rail made by EGW Guns. The rail by EGW is 29.99 plus shipping. The mesa is 39.99 plus shipping. I may or may not want a side saddle. 1) I already have a Blackhawk buttstock shell holder and, 2) A forum user expressed difficulties in cycling the action without hitting the sidesaddle. I will probably only get the rail. Question: Who has what rail, and what did you like about one over the other? What would some of you prefer if you were in my shoes? Any feedback would be appriciated. -Duvall
  21. Thanks Andy, mine is pre-tapped, which is nice but I fear tinkering with something out of my expertise and fubar-ing the whole thing. Are the pins that are already in the gun hard to remove?
  22. I was looking at those Mesa Tactical side saddles. Are they difficult to install? I have been looking at either the side saddle version from Mesa or just a plain picatinny rail from another vender. I took my SNT apart, best I could but I could not get the trigger assembly out. I read somewhere that you have to not remove, but loosen the stock. Any truth? Did you need to put locktite on with the screws?

    New Member

I am a new member to the forums. I have a Benelli Super Nova Tactical, and I found this forum while researching accessories for my gun. I am sure I will have questions regarding installation of said parts, but I want to look through the archives first because I don't want to be "that guy." Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself to you all. Thank you,
