IF I ONLY OWNED ONE BENELLI, I would be a sad, sad man... lol

I have a Performance Shop SS and love it. Getting a gun that fits and that you are able to handle well is key.

All I know is that I have owned a myriad of brands of shotguns, and while I absolutely love my Benelli's and liked the Remington's I've owned, I wouldnt give a nickel for a Mossberg. I owned a 500 when I was a teenager and almost threw it in the lake. What a POS. I traded it for some goose dekes and was happy to be rid of it. Comparing a Nova or a SBE to a 870 or a 500 is *****s and oranges.

I've been whacking ducks for quite some time. I started out with hand me downs and a burlap sack. The single most important piece of advice I can give you is to NOT scrimp on dekes. I ONLY shoot over G&H dekes, and I highly reccomend the Magnum Pro series line of them. I have 10 Dozen of them and 3 full sized mojo's, and It was money well spent. Obviously you can find cheaper dekes, and there's many that are good also, but keep that in mind when looking. I think you're on the right track. Also Variety is key as well. Throw out a mixed bag Pintails and can's work wonders.
