  1. Check a new auto Daly..If they have solved that little O-ring problem that should be your best bet. I saw a few old Wingmasters on GunBroke I would love to have. I don't know about getting an older or used 1187 or 1100. NO WARRANTY!! When autos start jamming...Some of them don't stop jamming with just a good cleaning. I think every one on the sight knows that.
  2. Nothing I just want a choke, but you are right opening day of goose season I could shoot bare threads.LOL
  3. 12 here in NC posession 24! We hunt fields mixed with corn and sunflowers. They also love the Tobacco fields because of all the dirt and sand.
  4. I got a new Benelli and want to try a few chokes with it. I had a Browning Gold that I used goose hunting with a Mod. Pure Gold. It sucked up close but shooting 30 and out it knocked them out. The thing is I have been to Tru-Lock,Wad-Wizard,Pure Gold and couldn't make up my mind which to select first. After asking the fellas on here and some friends I hunt with. I have come to the conclusion thats chokes are like aaashhhoes everybodys got a brand they think is better than the other. But the conclusion I've come to is that no one choke is consistently better than the other. Theres just to many variables. Brand of gun, caliber, 2 3/4 shot 3" shot or 3 1/2" shot, wind temperature distance barrel length brand and ounce of shot including drams of powder. Just to much cost, it's basically just a trial and error thing...and that can wind up costing as much as the gun....sucks doesn't it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. I never said mossberg was better or worse than Rem. 870. The 870 is the toughest gun out there in my opinion. I bought a benelli because I could afford it thats the only reason. But it'll never see the buckshot that my 870 supermagnum shoots. The 870 is tough as ****.
  6. To late I ordered one from Tru-Lock...Skeet2(light modified)
  7. I was on there sight looking for a choke. Nothing I saw mention anything specific for steel shot / HD other than the hunting choke. Are any chokes besides full used with steel I am dumb to chokes and I'm finding them very interesting and opinionable subjects. Wad Wizard made me think more three dimensional considering we think on a 2 deminsional track the fact that our typical shot pattern out of certain guns can be up to 15 feet long. The pattern is not hitting the 30 inch circle at the same time.So if its moving that realyl throws you off because you don't know when most of the shot hit the Circle. We pattern our gun front to back and not at moving consistant targets. And all the variables.Brands of shot, size, length, wind, heat, cold. It to me is very confusing and expensive sounding!!!
  8. If thats the case (other guns like autos and pumps) I just bought my son a Mossberg 500 Bantam COMBO. It came with 2 barrels one for fowl and buckshot or whatever you spray shot at. The other is a ported slug barrel. Got it for him NEW for 300.00...with tax 350.00. Its awsome and Mossberg in my opinion is starting to show some nice guns for the AVERAGE hunter/shooter. The NEW 4x4 Rifles look sweet too!!! Check them out.
  9. thanks for the tip tucker!!!
  10. Goose season starts in a couple of weeks and its like being 7 and waiting for Santa. I probably won't sleep the eve of opening day. Anybody else get that way? Boy its eating me up. 14. Not many to choose from (o/u) for around 400.00 most at that price are very tight and hard to open I actually looked a youth stoeger for my son and He couldn't even break it open and he's 10. But that doesn't mean It doesn't shoot well How much are the Charles Dalys?
  15. NC....but that has no relevance to this not workin, yes I'm a redneck so to say but I am one that acually can read directions. I'm also a welder and fabricator. So I know how things work, to me I looks like it needs GRINDING..LOL
  16. Forget This Question Ican't Even Put The Gun Together!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. I keep asking and noone will answer me. PLEASE I am getting tired of this 1600.00 gun. I can't even put together. The barrel still will not slide all the way back and make contact with the buttstock...1/8" gap...broke or am I a dumba$$. I have read directions 10 times.
  18. wouldn't light mod be better for decoying geese? I had a brownign that used a pure golg modified. But up close it was toooooo. tight. now I have this benelli and think I'm goingt to go with light mod. any opinons? I don't mind trash talk just don'tto get in any flameing contest please.
  19. NO your not going on the offensive with me, any advise is good advise, just don't start with should of bought a browning piece of sh#t benelli streek like I have seen up here.LOL,but I just can't get it to seat at the way back..is there some shaking or turning not mensioned in the directions? I'm 31 yrs old and have had a few guns not as many as some but more than a few and I have never had any problem Assembling one. If someone has one please help me out.
  20. I to am having the same problem. My gun (SBE2) was bought 2 days ago. I just tried to assemble it tonight and there is a gap about 1/8" between the stock and barrel. I have read the directions and I new to a benelli and the site so any HELP would be appreciated!!
  21. MY barrel on my new benelli doesn't touch the butstocks metal. Theres about a 1/8" gap and I was wondering if it needs to go back or is it normal. I put the forearm on and slid it over the chamber and action but the barrel doesn't seat all the way back. Any answers would help.
  22. Correct me if im wrong but isnt Improved modified tighter then Light Modified. I was getting ready to Improved but looked at the chart and I believe Light would be better on decoying geese. Not a choke tube ? Just a size of pattern question. Geese would be in reason....10 to 40yrds I want tight but not too tight.
