  1. Actually I really don't know how many UL owners there are... That is why I asked in the original post... But thanks for pointing that out... It does answer my question
  2. d Thank You, that helped... As far as the loose choke issue, I was hoping for more response as to who has the problem and who doesn't. I wanted to know how common loose chokes are in UL's and all other Benellis
  3. The past month I asked two questions about the ultra light and got very little reponse... Is it that true BUL owners don't spend time here ?? However, what I do see is a lot of childish flaming...
  4. Anybody have a photo of what a BUL choke tube wrench looks like... What I have is oval shaped and black in color... I am unsure if it is actually the choke tube wrench
  5. I own an ultra light and I can never get the choke to be in tight... They always loosen up on me... This holds true for the stock chokes and chokes I bought from other manufacturers Anyone else have this issue ?
  6. I am not sure if there is a for sale section here... But if there is I couldn't find it... Anyway, ultralight for sale... http://www.gunbroker.com/auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=119636550
  7. This was happening to me on my ultralight.. But one thing I noticed was that the "cartridge drop lever" (that small triangular thing with the red dot on it) was not dropping down into place when I was pressing the bolt release button... Every time the cartridge drop lever did not drop down, I would get a click/mis-fire.... So every time I load a new shell into the barrel I always check to make sure the cartridge drop lever is dropping down... This at least prevents me from NOT killing that bird or rabbit... It has happened only once in about 400 rounds since I oiled up the trigger assembly... But at least now I know when it's going to happen...
  8. I have a Benelli ultralight 12ga with a 24" Barrel... Does anyone have a 26" 12ga barrel that they would want to trade for the 24" one ? I haven't asked if the recievers are interchangeable... So, that needs to be cleared first .
  9. I would love to take some lessons ... I'll see how much they are... Its just so expensive to shoot these days... Its hard to pay for lessons...
  10. I tried mounting practice tonight 50 times and things are lining up much better with my natural mount now... Two things I did that seem to work ... But keep in mind I am a novice... So I realize I may be doing something wrong here... 1) Focus on keeping my stock perfectly vertical when mounting 2) raise my right elbow slightly more than usual when mounting So what I did was keep both eyes open, focus on a spot on the wall, and mount and point to that object. All the while focusing on that object and not my barrel. After each mount, I checked to see if my barrel was aligned with that spot, (closing my left eye to check the alignment) and almost every time its pretty much dead on... I don't know... I think I will keep my Benelli the way it is for now... But, I am not dismissing adjusting my stock/fit... Just seeing for now if my practice has results... Sincere THANKS for everyone's advice... Seems like it's easier to get it here than at the range...
  11. Just recently I have done three things to drastically improve my hit rate... 1) Keeping both eyes open. 2) Focus on clay target NOT my shotgun. 3) hold my shotgun higher at eye level without tilting my head... But of course I am still missing (what I would consider) easy targets occasionally.. I practiced mounting my shotgun onto my shoulder about 25 times tonight... Basically I did whatever felt natural for me... 25 times... After each mount, I kept the shotgun still and closed my left eye so I could see if my rear sight bead (little gold ball on top of barrel in the back) was aligned with my front sight bead (red one)... Almost always, the front red bead was just slightly to the right of back bead... Which means if I use my front red bead in my peripheral vision to point, I would be shooting to the right of the bird.... So I have a question... Should I find a better way to mount my shotgun to my shoulder so that the two beads align more consistently or should I compensate by shooting slightly to the left of my targets at all times ?
  12. Don't sell it to a gun shop.. Big mistake doing that... On www.gunbroker.com, if you look at the completed listings and sort by highest number of bids first, you will find that they are selling for (used) between $1300 and $1500.
  13. I cleaned out the trigger assembly and bolt assembly, I then put some oil on all the parts... I put 60 rounds through it today with no issues ..... Looks like the cleaning worked..
  14. The triangular thing with the red dot is the "cartridge drop lever"... Sorry for not knowing the terminology... So, I was able to take out the bolt assembly and the trigger guard assembly... I put a good amount of oil on the rails and into the trigger assembly.... I put the shotgun back together... The "cartridge drop lever" seems to be dropping down as it should... Hopefully that will solve the mis fire problem... Any comments on this thread are greatly appreciated... Thanks...
  15. I dropped some oil into the receiver and into the trigger assembly areas... The problem doesn't seem to happen now... that triangular thingy with the red dot near the trigger is dropping down into place consistently now...
  16. no... After the trigger and click.. no primer dent...
  17. Hello. First post. I am Brian a proud owner of an Ultralight for 1.5 years... Live here in Az and have downed many a cottontail and quail with my beloved Benelli.. Just recently my shotgun has been occasionally mis-firing.. So the hammer/trigger clicks and nothing happens... I looked at my shotgun and I noticed sometimes the triangle thingy with the red dot was not always coming down into position when it should be... That is it should come down into position when you expect it to be ready to fire... So, I put some oil into the trigger assembly and into the crevase where the triangle-red-dot thingy was... Now it seems like this triangle thing is coming into position the way it should be now... I haven't been able to test the shotgun because I am at home now .... Has this happened to anyone else ? Maybe I just needed to lubricate my trigger/hammer assembly ??
