  2. Origin of the name Galt's Guns? Hmm, good question the very nice person I have been dealing with is named Sean!
  3. I had Sean of Galt's Guns Duracoat my SOCOMguy Full Length Mag Tube and a Mesa Tactical 6 shot sidesaddle to match my M4.
  4. I never met you Duggan so you may be a little crazy. But when it comes to Benelli I won't argue with you - when you're right, you're right.
  5. I want to report on the results when I combined the following equipment. Equipment: SOCOMguy Full Length Mag Tube for an M4 M4 Premium Full Length Magazine Spring CARRIERCOMP http://shop.carriercomp.com/product.sc?categoryId=-1&productId=1 Nordic Low Drag Magazine Follower Chris’ Winning Shooing Accessories LLC http://www.cpwsa.com/nordic_components.htm Results: Spring + Follower = 2¾” Shell Capacity Factory Spring + Factory Follower = 7 Factory Spring + Nordic Follower = 7 CARRIERCOMP Spring + Factory Follower = 7 CARRIERCOMP Spring + Nordic Follower = 6 Combination #4 resulted in one less shell being loaded, I opted for combination #3.
  6. This vendor http://www.cpwsa.com/nordic_components.htm just shipped a Nordic low drag, aluminum, Teflon coated and anodized magazine follower for my M4. Chris responded very fast to my initial email last night (Sunday the 22nd) and then shipped the follower the next day (Monday the 23rd)
  7. I am putting together a kit of replacment parts for all of my firearms which includes my M4. I cannot find a mag follower in stock at any of the following: Brownells CactusTactical CalGuns Daves Metal Works GG&G MidwayUSA NordakSpud.com SureCycle TacticalShotgunner Does anyone know of a source where I may purchase one?
  8. Hi, The TSA allows you to carry ammo in the same case as the weapon. I have flown United Airlines many times with my unloaded pistol and the ammo in the same case. As a matter of fact the ammo is in a magazine which in turn is in a mag pouch in the locked pistol case. I have flown once with a shotgun (again United Airlines) and carried shells in the locked case. The ammo cannot be loose but in an approved container refer to this TSA link: http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/assistant/editorial_1666.shtm And as it advises some airlines do have stricter rules. Cheers, MickGIS
  9. Hi Waveone, I am happy with the SOCOMguy full length mag tube. Please read this other thread for more details: http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=17570
  10. I am now able to post photos so here is what it looks like:
  11. Hi cleefurd, The unpainted portion extends below the sheath. A minor thing indeed and rendered irrelevant because I have purchased a full length mag tube from SOCOMguy (which works great, no malfunctions) and have found a guy who will DuraCoat it with the Benelli Desert Camo.
  12. I was able to shoot my new M4 for the first time yesterday. With the new SOCOMguy full length magazine tube installed using the original factory spring and no Locktite; I fired 30 rifled slugs and 20 “00” Buck with no malfunctions. Even with a max capacity of 9 shells (7+1+1) the M4 fired them as fast as I could pull the trigger without mishap. Thanks SOCOMguy for a fine product.
  13. I posted this on the thread” Hand held blow torch + mag tube removal?” by cop1211 and am reposting it here as not to hijack that thread: I received my full length magazine tube for my M4 from SOCOMguy yesterday December 26th. By using a Milwaukee 1200 watt heat gun and aiming it at the base of the tube and receiver for about two minutes it loosened the factory Locktite stuff. It was still a bit difficult to turn but I wanted to use as little heat as I could. The end of the factory tube and receiver were still very hot to the touch even after only 2 minutes of exposure. My M4 wears the Desert Camo which was not affected at all by the heat. After assembly with the full length mag tube and factoy spring (but without using any new Locktite) I did a manual function check using dummy 12 gauge shells. I encountered no malfunctions at all. I even tried loading one on the shell lifter and that functioned flawlessly; but again this was all manual testing I’ll post a range report of the live fire testing. I also found a guy who will Dura Coat the new mag tube to match the Benelli Desert Camo pattern.

  15. I just picked up my new M4; I cleaned, lubed and put it together. I sure like the look and feel but I have yet to fire it. The barrel assembly fits flush to the receiver; the forearms fit snuggly without any gaps and the magazine cap screws down tight. I can cycle the action and feed and eject the dummy 12 gauge shells without a problem. However there is a ¾” or so gap in the camo pattern on the magazine tube. Has anyone seen this before? Should I contact Benelli support about this or am I being too picky?
