  1. What if it is a crackhead hunting shotgun? Or a zombie hunting shotgun?
  2. Ok, I've figured out the clicking bit. That is just due to the bolt not being forward completely. As for the other part, that seems to be operator error, as I've suspected.
  3. Im having problems loading my Montefeltro. Say I've just shot 2 rounds, and I want to top off the magazine. Well..I can't. I press the button on the side of the receiver to unlock the flap on the bottom of the reciver, but it doesn't go down far enough to allow me to stick a shell in. The shell only goes in about 3/4 of the way and gets stuck because the flap is binding the whole thing up. To get more shells in, I have to pull the lever back halfway, and hold it there while I load the shells. Another thing. Every so often, I'll go to fire and the gun just clicks. Doesn't even so much as dent the primer. I hear this has to do with the way you load the gun? Is this gun supposed to be such a pain in the ass, or is there something Im overlooking here?
  4. Ah, I've heard back from Benelli Customer Service. -------- Your gun was originally sold in May of 2001 which means it was probably produced in late 2000 or early 2001. The current MSRP on the Montefeltro 20 ga is $1229.00.
  5. Aye, that is what I mean. I'll probably get a 24" with the steady grip stock.
  6. Thanks. I just busted out the tape measure. LOP: 12.5" Barrel: 25¼" Overall: 45¼" [------------------------------------] It's that close to what you're looking for.
  7. Most shotgunners are 870 fans. Probably 70% of internet 870 fans haven't even used any other pumps, but they still go about acting like it's the best pump in the world. It's a fine piece, don't get me wrong. But it's popularity causes people to overlook other fine pumps. Ithaca 37, Browning BPS, Winchester 1300, etc. As far as semi-autos go, honorable mentions would be: Benelli Remington 1100 and 11-87 Saiga 12 I can't really vouch for anything else.
  8. I couldn't see why anyone would buy a gun without first fondling it. Even on two identical models, one might feel better to you or work slightly smoother.
  9. What is this I read about the SN Tacticals with pistol grips having a different assembly than the C.T. stocks? Can anyone elaborate?
  10. They have like 20 different solvents and oils. Be more specific eh?
  11. I have a Montefeltro 20ga. Youth stock, 26" barrel. I want to sell it, as it doesn't fit and Im more fond of sxs and pumps. I'd like to know what a reasonable selling price would be for it. Here is a description of the damage details: There is a little metal wear on the edge of the trigger guard, very minute. The buttstock has minute scratches that show up in the light, and a handful of small dents in the side. No rust, around 100 shots through it. 4 different chokes and the original case I figure this gun is roughly 90% condition overall. Im thinking somewhere in the range of $700 to $850 would be reasonable? Im probably going to replace it with a Nova. Since Im opening a thread, I might as well ask about those. I want to use it as a general purpose shooter. Coyotes, upland birds, HD, etc. I don't really hunt waterfowl or turkey, but I do find Benelli pistol grips to be quite comfortable. Im wondering what the shortest length barrel is I can get that still has interchangeable chokes. Also, just to clarify, a Weaver 423m scope base is the one to use for a Nova?
