  2. New M1/M2 Barrels from benelli are $460. They take 3 to 6 months to get.
  3. I got mine from my dealer, who ordered it from Benelli, for $160. It came with the gel recoil pad.
  4. In case anyone is interested, I have one listed on Gunbroker. It's back up. My buyer backed out. I got a SBEII and don't need this. I paid $460 for it new from Benelli. It's less than a year old. $250 buy it now takes it. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=157742946
  5. I got this for sale one EBAY if anyone is interested. Lines up flush with the 18.5" tactical barrel. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250531414152
  6. You can order the Comfortech stock from your local dealer. They cost $150. I believe the standard stock is $129. You will need the shim kit for the comfortech. The standard stock should bolt right on. Some of the online retailers like Brownells have this on crack $500 price tag for them. You will have to wait though. It took me 3 months to get it.
  7. With modern powders, the powder is mostly burnt in the first 14 inches of travel down the barrel. Personaly, the sight plain is just to short on a tactical barrel for me. I hunt and shoot clays with a 26" barrel. There is no reason you can't hunt with it. I think it might be kind of fun to blast Jacks at close range with an M4.
  8. I have had a couple of the Walmart value pack shells do that to me.
  9. No shims, so I guess I will have to order them.
  10. Changing from the pistol grip to the comfortech. What do I nees, as the hardware on the pistol grip is not the same.
  11. After 6 months, I was like, forget it. When I went in to cancel the order, there it was. Go figure.
  12. I have one on order at my local dealer, but I feel it will never come. Numrich has some in stock, but they want $509 for it. They say thats the retail price, but my dealers Benelli parts catalog lists the retail at $160. Brownells lists it at $509 also. I e-mailed Benelli and they said it retails at $160. They keep giving me the "30 to 60 days, it should be in stock", and it's been almost 6 months. I would like to find one before hunting season.
  13. Yes I did. Ordered a barrel also. I got the barrel after 4 months, but still waiting for the stock. Everytime I have e-mailed Benelli, I get the 30 to 60 days response. I am thinking of cancelling my order, as I'm am beginning to think it will never arrive, and I really do not want to wait another 6 months to see if it shows up.
  14. I ordered a Comfortech for my M2 6 months ago, and it's still not here. Best for you to go find it somewhere else.
  15. At the back, almost looks like some kind of crack or void. Seems like it's machined down pretty far at the the back/top part of the reciever also. It's new, and unfired at this point. Any input? Can anyone post a pic of this part of their M2 reciever for comparison? Is this normal, or should I be concerend?
  16. I do like it. I adds versatility to my M2 Tactical. Seems worth the wait now that it came.
  17. Got my 26" M2 barrel finaly. I was beginning to think it would never come.
  18. The M2 Comfortech stocks are $160 from Benelli. I ordered one a couple months ago.
  19. Buy the barrel length you want on the gun. Barrels are $460, and even if you have the dough, good luck getting one. You will order one, and wait months and months and months for it. Benelli makes a great gun, just don't buy one expecting to swap parts around, as you will end up canceling your order in frustration long before your part arrives.

Oak Tree Gun Club had a few, but they sold out in a couple days.
  21. I understand if it was in Italy that it could take a while. But if it's in the United States, I see no reason not to ship it. I will go in again and talk to the guy, maybe Benelli gave him an ETA?
  22. I contacted Benelli USA about an extra M2 barrel, 26", black. They said they had them in stock and to order from my local dealer. Well, I went down and ordered one. They said it could take months. I said, I contacted Benelli, and they said they were in stock. They said just because their in stock does not mean they will send one out, and that they have waited 9 months to get a barrel in. Should I just go get my money back? Why would Benelli not ship an in stock item? I understand if it's backordered or something, but if it's sitting there, why not just ship it? I'm begining to think I should have gone with a different brand if they can't even go through the trouble of shipping something that's just sitting there.

    M2 Tactical

I bought an FN SLP and I love it. I have an M2 Tactical, and I love it also. I ended up puting a hunting barrel on the M2, and use the FN as my tactical shotty. If you just want it for defence, and would like to save hundreds of dollars over an M4, get the FN. The only downside with the gas system on it is you have to change a part to switch between low and high power ammo, but it swaps out in less than a minute. Man, it has a mean cycling rate. I can empty that thing faster than any shotty I own. It's never malfunctioned on me. It is a great and well made shotgun for the price. It is pretty low recoil even with the heavy loads to boot.
