  1. No matter what they say, the Vinci does have recoil. When you take a shotgun that weighs less than 7 lbs. and put 12 ga. shells through it, it is going to have recoil, period...It may be directed in a different direction, but it has recoil, nonetheless.

  2. I have dealt with Benelli C.S. in the past and have nothing but good to say about the way thing were handled. Strictly professional service with positive results, in a timely manner.I could not have asked for anything more.

  3. I got my barrel back from Benelli and they did me right! They blasted and reblued the barrel, that's a company that stands behind their product. Not many companies like that anymore.

    Happy Customer,

    Sam S

Boy am I glad to hear that. I know back in Dec. it was up in the air about how they would address the problem. Good for you Partypilot, And better yet, good for Benelli, for standing behind a great product. Everyone wins. I like when stories end like this...Mike

  4. Got it!!

    Thanks.

Seems strange that the manual provides instructions that won't work.

This is a Benelli trait. If you are hunting and want to cross a fence. you just jack out the shell in the chamber and a new one does not get chambered. Therefore you don't have to unload the whole gun. Or if you want to change the shell in the chamber to a bigger one for a goose, it is easily done. It is a good thing, once you get used to the system. The Vinci is a great gun. I hope you like it. Glad I could help. Sorry about the bad info. Welcome to the world of Benelli...Mike

  5. The drop lever is located in front of the trigger. Roll the gun over and look at the bottom. Proceed as directed above. Sorry about the misinformation, I was going by memory. AND that is another story...Mike

  6. Try loading the magazine tube first. Then push up the little silver lever on the right side of the trigger assembly. This is the shell drop. Once you do this it will allow a shell to leave the mag. tube. Now rack the bolt open and let her slam home. Should take care of the problem.

  7. Will post up photos on Thursday - don't have the right cord here on the road :)

From last Sunday @ 40 yards, I got:

    H-13 #6's - BPS - IC .665; 169, 232, 172

    H-13 #6's - SBE II - JH .660; 182

    H-13 #7's - BPS - IC .665; 270, 326, 305, 336

But there are 550+- pellets in those #7's. Only a mere 434 pellets in the #6's :D

Thanks for the info. That is great stuff. I've got to get some, just to try. Good luck this year Mudhen...Mike

  8. I would barely be happy with twice that on the 10" at 40 yards with 3" #6 Nitros :(

I get 160-180 with the IC .665 + H-13 2.25 oz #6's, and even that is just acceptable to me.

Shot H-13 #7's yesterday - haven't counted them yet - but it looks like 200+ easy in the 10" at 40 yards :)

Wow. That is unbelievable. Did the point of impact change at all Mudhen? I know you said the 5x6x7's shot way low. Interested to see if shot to the same POI as the 6's. Thanks for sharing...Mike

  9. guys ive looked and looked online butt no cigar. i was wondering if any of you guys would please make a video on how to take apart the m4 and how to put it back together PLEASE!!!!!

    Alright I'll make a video... What is a M4, anyhow...:D

  10. All of the above is great advice. I own both and if I had to pick one it would be the SBE ll, Because of the 3.5'' capability, and it fits me a hair better. Both are worthy. Good luck with your choice, you will win either way.. Mike
