now, does anyone know about the muzzle brakes and other items he is coming out with?
He said 30-60days before they are for sale. Not until tube orders are satified, and machining is done on picatinny because they are all going to the coaters in a large batch (the coaters need to build the jigs as well). I'd expect around Christmas.

It's not that I'm not willing to wait, it's just that I received the email saying it will ship out within 7 days of October 6th and I have not heard anything from him. I take it I'm calling a cell phone when I call because I hear classical music(standard ver i zon ring back tone)? All I want is a "hey yeah, it's coming, give it some time." from the man himself, that's all. He was very communicative before so I didn't know if there was some sort of personal circumstance or something like that.
I know he is a human being and as it appears, he has allot more clientele then he thought he would have and good for him. This post isn't meant to sound derogatory, I'm merely inquiring as to what's going on and I thank all the members here who chimed in to give me some insight.
Pretty sure it took 2 weeks from my shipment notification via email to when I actually had it in my hands.

Like they say...."good things take time"
Kip should just have said expect 90 days between order and delivery and called it done. I still would have ordered If I have to wait 90 days between order for muzzle brake, picatinny rail, and charging handle, I'll gladly do it.
-
If people weren't willing to wait, they shouldn't have ordered IMHO. I ordered mine early July, which is over 90 days ago. Big deal, I have it, and am infinitely happier with it than any alternative.

Got mine today. Happy days are here again. Just need to carve out 5 mins sans liberal spouse to install it.

OK dirty harry!!! these guns are awesome but not practical carries!!
I keep my M4 in my pant leg when I want to walk around town armed. Thank God I have a collapsable stock.

Didn't the 1014 have different porting on the barrel?

GET A REAL GUN
I agree, you should.
-
I got my "your order has shipped" email this morning also.
For time reference, I had ordered at the Carriercomp online store on 8-12-09.
Thanks Kip!!
I just got my shipment notification this morning as well, with an order date a full month before you.

Anybody know what type of shipping Kip uses? I spoke with him 12 days ago(he called me), and was under the impression it was shipping within 2 calendar days.
-
You are eating a 12-guage for T-day?
-
Got a call from Kip Sat morning. Re-ordered as mine had expired. Hope to get it today or in the next few days.

I installed the one that came in the stock gun in Kips tube w/o issues. I can disassemble the gun by removing the mag and not have to deal with the mag spring unless I want to break out my snap ring pliers. I guess I never noticed the absence of a groove as it seems to hold fine..
They don't move. The friction provided by the ample surface area holds just fine. Maybe over time as the tube gets "polished" by constantly removing and reinserting, it might pose a problem, but I doubt it.
-
There isn't one on any of the full length tubes or extensions that i know of. Including the factory one. The cap itself simply compresses the spring so you can remove it during cleanings.
No, there is a compression sleeve (think snap ring with a shoulder).

Damn, here's to hoping he's getting pretty caught up. Still waiting for the post 7-11 placement of orders to start. Now.. I have to go dig up my email with my order number...

CARRIERCOMP is making preparations to meet the demands related to product line expansion and new contracts within the Government and commercial industry. For this reason we will NOT process ANY credit card orders placed after July 11, 2009. Any orders placed AFTER July 11, 2009 will remain on our store ledger, and be honored in the order received when we resume full production capabilities. All completed orders placed through June 2nd shipped today (Aug 11, 2009) unless otherwise pending payment. Orders between June 3, 2009 and July 11, 2009 are expected to ship no later than Sept 10, 2009. Credit Card authorizations on orders placed AFTER July 11, 2009 will have expired by that time, and customers will be contacted directly to determine how/if they wish to renew their orders.
Hmmm... hope everything is going well. Since I'm a 7-14 order, I wonder when I will be contacted to bring it to fruition. Has everybody who placed their order between 7-3 and 7-11 received their tubes yet?

That's just a ladder style rail cover. I hadn't noticed it had peeled away slightly until I looked at the photo.

Did it reaffix easily?

What is up with the left side of the grip flaring out at the muzzle end?
-
Never heard of them but their stuff looks interesting. It looked like their charging handle might not be one of the rotating type but it was hard to tell for sure from the picture. I'd been thinking about ordering one of the FL tubes from TacticalShotgunner.com but I decided just to wait till Kip gets things going. I ordered the day after the cutoff so hopefully, I should be near the top of the list when he gets production moving.

First thing I saw. Steel FL tubes are out there from various Manf, but the charging handle did indeed intrigue me. Looks like the SHAFT atleast doesn't spin.

Anyone receive a tube lately?
I can't take it, it's like waiting for a Form 4!
To my understanding, we won't get an update until around 9-11ish, whereby everybody who got their order in before 7-11 should have received their's. Then, and only then will those of us who placed their order afterward be able to get one.
-
Teh FAB is the best solution for me, but I need a similar forend which is US made, not Israeli made.
-
So assuming the Surecycle is made in the USA, is it assumed (based upon how 922r is written), that a the Surecycle and a US made full length mag tube would put the M4 in compliance with 922r?
No. You still need one additional component.
-
Darn it!!! I missed the cutoff window by a 2 days. I'm part of the in limbo group as my order was placed 07/13/2009
-
Update? Did you speak with Kip?
Indeed, inquiring minds want to know.

Few probably know how true that statement actually is.
