  1. I would go with the Supernova in case you want to change stocks. You may prefer a pistol grip stock for turkey hunting. It is more comfortable to use when you are sitting.

I would also go with camo. You will probably regret it later if you don't. It looks cooler and will also help you out when turkey hunting.

If you haven't decided, for an all-around shotgun I think a 26" barrel would be preferable. A 24" would be easier to maneuver in the woods, and I like at least 28" barrel for duck hunting and trap shooting. I say split the difference.

To me, the Nova is a very limited purpose gun with the fixed stock and lack of accessories. The Supernova is a bit more versatile.

    Good luck!

  2. The best part of this is that he doesn't even have a SBE. I think he bought a Beretta last year. He seems to think that being able to shove a 4th round in the magazine tube makes the SBE better. Haha...and I can't beat the **** out of him because 1) he's family (by marriage), and 2) he got one of his buddies to give me a helluva deal on this SBE II. It's a twisted situation...you would just have to know this guy to understand him. I think I know enough about the two SBE models to put him in his place now...

  3. Guys, I have a know-it-all buddy that is already trying to lay the groundwork for bashing my new SBE II. He made a point of saying that the original SBE was a "really good gun" and also made a point to not say the same about the SBE II.

What are the major improvements/differences in the SBE II over the original? I need to have plenty of ammo to bury him the next time he decides to have a fit of jealousy.

    Thanks!

  4. So I've spoken with Benelli the last two days about various issues, and I asked two different representatives about the M4 top rail. The young lady yesterday told me that it was a "photoshop thing" and that the M4 would always have a black rail and rear sight...

The gentleman today flat out told me that Benelli did that to make the gun look better on the website! How about that? He agreed that the picture was misleading and also said that Benelli was finished with the design of the M4 and that there would be no more cosmetic or mechanical changes to the model.

So I sucked it up and ordered one anyway today. If I can find some paint to match the desert camo I may paint it myself. Any ideas on where to get matching paint?

  5. Guys, I have a question about the top rail on the M4. On the Benelli website it shows that the rail and rear sight are camo to match the rest of the gun.

But it looks like they are only sold with a black rail and rear sight. Does anyone have the story on this? I would call Benelli but it's the weekend. I had one of these ordered until I found out that the rail was going to be black. It would just be going in my collection so I can afford to be picky.

Why would Benelli have the gun pictured with a camo rail but sell them with a black one?

    Comparison of the two:
