I am currently transitioning from a Rem. 1100 that i've had since I was a boy, to a Benelli Supersport, to shoot skeet with. I done this because when I get a chance to shoot I may shoot 200 shells, and sometimes I would have to stop and clean the gun. With the Benelli I have shot over 200 shells without cleaning. Don't get me wrong, the Rem. 1100 is a great gun with some advantages, like you can find parts for it anywhere. I have had problems already finding accesories for the Benelli. But maybe that will change as they get more popular.

I would like to thank all of you for your input. I'm new to any kind of gun forum. I usually rely on mags for my info, but you can't find alot of articles on competition guns, and since I don't have a tremendous amount of disposable income I want to do the best mods for the money. Monday I received the Briley forend weight and titanium skeet tube. I've not shot the gun yet, it's too dang cold here. I think I will take the advice and shoot the gun alot before I do anymore mods.

I'm not interested in reducing recoil, just the best pattern. I looked at the Brownings before I bought the Benelli. They brag about the extended forcing cone & back bored. Not worried about warranty either, i'm 2nd owner of gun.

I was always told that the mid bead is for checking to see if you have your cheek in the right spot on the stock. If you are lined up correctly you should see a figure 8. The front bead sits on top of the mid bead making a figure 8. I shoot alot of skeet, so you have time to do this.But when I hunt you don't have time to do this(most of the Time).

I just got a Benelli Super Sport for Christmas. It's my first Benelli. It will be used mostly for skeet shootong and maybe some trap. What I would like to know is, has anyone had there crio barrel back bored & forcing cone extended?
