  1. Ok, so I just got a rubber mat under the safe. It took me and my GF about 15 minutes to do it, and it was not all that hard. All you need is a few wooden dowel rods to roll the safe, and you would be good to go. The mat was purchased from lowes for $20. It has a cloth top, and the bottom which is about 1/2" thick is made from recycled car tires. So it does have a rubber barrier. The mat is 36"x48" big. I know alot of yall talked about the "Hockey Puck" idea, and it sounded really good, I was all for it. But I contacted Liberty Safes and ran the idea by them. The guy I spoke with said the "Hockey Puck" idea is not a bad idea with a light safe. But you will run into problems when you are trying to use it with a heavy safe like mine. He stated that with the weight of the safe, and everything that is stored in it you may be around 1900lbs give or take. And to have have a 3" circle "Hockey Puck" placed under the safe may make the safe "buckle" because of all the weight being distributed over a handful of 3" circles and not being able to lay flat on the floor. He also said it could cause a problem for the door. How true this is, I dont know, but I can only go by what the manufacture tells me, and it kinda makes sense if you really think about. Im no engineer, but I would welcome all comments or concerns you guys may have.
  2. So you think the "Hockey Puck" idea is the best way to go then? After thinking about it, I dont know how the **** Im going to lift a 1200lb safe and "slide" a piece of rubber under it. "Hockey Pucks" are looking better after all
  3. Hey Tactical- I think I might go to Sears and get some of those rubber mats that you stand on, or head to Harbor Freight and get http://www.harborfreight.com/garage-shop/garage-accessories/maintenance-mat-large-65859.html. M1014, LOVE how you threw the shotgun in the pic.. It is very nice though
  4. The safe is no where near a water heater, nor is it in a basement. My main concern is should I place a piece of carpet or something else under the safe to keep the moisture from rusting the bottom of it? It is currently sitting on a ceramic tile floor, and like I said I have not seen any condensation yet. Is this a real concern here in FL, or something that is not really needed?
  5. Unobtanium, Which handle do you have that you are selling?
  6. Im quite sure that 99.9% of everyone on this forum has some type of gun safe. My question is, what is your opinion in putting down a Vapor Barrier under the safe such as carpet, small pieces of wood, or a small rug etc? I live in FL, and just bought a safe that is currently sitting on a tile floor. Ive never noticed any condensation forming on the tiles, but Im not sure what would happen when there is a safe sitting on them now. Any suggestions?
  7. I dont think Kip will be replying to any posts on here. I believe he stated lastweek that he is going out of town for business this week.
  8. KMC, there was a write up on the grip here in the forum. From what read, the grip just slips on and off. The member did mention that it was a bit*h to take off, but good luck with it.
  9. Thanks Hookster! I also found this forum on the KZ. Not sure I want to go as far as this member did by hacking away at a $200 piece of aluminum, but it does look good I will admit.. What PANABAX did with his Rail is something that should be sold on the market. http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=19590&highlight=panabax&page=6
  10. Yea, I talked to Kip today.. Very very nice guy.. Had a 45 min phone conversation about his M4 business. After our talk, Im confident in my tube, and I wont sweat the 3 week delay

    KZ RAIL

Who has a KZ Rail on their M4? I have seen a few posts on here, but I would like to get some clarification. I was told by Botach that the top rail needs to be mounted/screwed to the receiver for a "rock solid fit." Only problem is, I just bought a Mesa saddle, and Im not getting rid of it ... So those of you that have cut off the excess rail, is your KZ Rail rock solid? I have heard that the KZ Rail mounts to the barrel. Is this true? Any help or advise is greatly appreciated
  12. Hookster, Just ordered a full length tube from Carriercomp. Is there a 3 week delay in the shipping or are these items in stock?
  13. wow awesome pics! Im reading alot of Pros and Cons about the KZ, and B&T Rails. Im leading more towards the B&T Rail though.. Thats what you have right, the B&T Rail? How do you like it? Is there any movement at all, even a small amount? I believe you said it clamps onto the barrel of the gun. Can you elaborate on that or post a few pictures.. Thanks!
  14. Just got back from the range with the new M4. All I can say is WOW WOW WOW.. This gun shoots so sweet.. I added the Mesa Carrier, and also a Carlson's tactical breacher choke.. Bad A*s... I had one guy at the range ask me if my gun was a Mossberg 500? I tried to hold back, but I couldnt. I told him "no, its the mercedes of shotguns called a Benelli M4." He said "oh, whats that?" So I now I need a rail.. any suggestions???
  15. Skeeter, how does this rail clamp to the barrel? Can you take a picture or better describe it? I just got in my Mesa saddle, and I was looking at the KZ Rail. I tech guy from Botach just told me that I need to loose the Mesa Saddle because their top rail is what makes the KZ rock solid..
  16. Hey Benelli owners! Im new to the forum, so please bare with me. I just bought a M4 the other day, and Im looking to upgrade it. I want to add the bigger bolt handle, mesa saddle, bigger slide release button, either 2 shot extension OR full length magazine tube, and a picatinny foregrip. What is everyone using? Im at a stand still between a KZ rail and a Brugger and Thomet rail. What exactly is the pros and cons of both? Is there another rail out there that will compete with these two?
  17. Oh ok. Can you post pictures of this? Im also looking at the KZ Quad Rail. But when I called Botachtactical twice, the "lady" who answered the phone said she would have someone call me back because I have questions about their product that she cant answer.. 3 days later, and no call back
  18. Hey Kip, how does one place an order with you? I have called, and emailed you. Not sure if you have gotten them, but I would like to place an order. Thanks
  19. Hey Kip, I am interested in the Muzzle Brake for the M4, and also a Magazine tube.
  20. Sketter, is this handguard held onto the gun in the same manner as the factory grips where as the barrel is pushing the handguard against the receiver? Any other info on this handguard would be great. I know that $300. is alot. But when you spend $1700 on a Benelli, you dont want to put junk on there
