    M2 American

I just took mine out dove hunting for the first time saturday and all I can say is I'm in love! I killed more doves than ever before, my brother was just looking at me going "what, you been taking shooting classes or something?" I just looked at him and said "this benelli is bad @$$, aint it!" I was very pleased to say the least. The gun came up great and performed flawlessly all day. Any concerns I had going into hunting season with a new shotgun were dismissed in just a half a box of shells. I still grin everytime i look at it. My American M2 is all black, all business.

    American M2

Hello everybody, I'm a newbie to the site and a new owner of the American M2. I have to say so far I love this gun. The gun fits me great and seems to shot good for me. I have only shot about 2 boxes of low brass threw it but it has alot of work to do in the near future. I intend to use it for Dove,Deer, and Duck hunting this year. Does anyone have any info they would like to share about the M2's (best chokes, shells, etc.)?
  3. Sometimes they won't land or come in close if its on the whole time. the remote for it makes it a much more usful tool.
  4. I feel your pain. My M2 American was the same way. POI was about 5" high. Some of the pros won't agree but when your shooting at an animal your instict is to lift your head as your shooting at a passing deer or duck, which would make you shoot even higher. I took mine to a Gunsmith and explained to him my issue. After he crushed my heart, telling me that Benelli's are overrated and overpriced, he said he could fix it. I said "how"? and then he showed me this Mid-evil looking vise that you lay the barrel in. He twiked it ever so slightly and the gun is on point now. He said he bought the vise because of benelli. Not sure if the barrel is really bent of if when they backbore it at the factory its on a Friday evening at 5:15pm. Its fixed now and I enjoy the gun once again. He also told me that he has seen SBEII 24 inches off at 40 yards! Its sad that you pay that much for a gun and its off that much. I like Benelli's but it does raise my eyebrow. I'm not sure about the shims because that seems to me you are adjusting something else to fix the real problem.
