What is the advantage of this conversion?

Thanks for the heads up. I don't want to have to go through unseating the mag tube from the receiver for maintenance or cleaning. I'll keep looking for the standard 3 round tube.

Here are a couple of views

I am looking for a M1 Super 90 magazine tube that fits a 1989 model with fine threads on the receiver end. Part # 60576 (3 round) 60568 7 round. I'll take either one. Benelli CS says the part is obsolete and all the major vendors only stock the course thread tubes. If someone out there ditched their stock tube for a xrail or RCI let me know.

I'm looking for a 12 gauge 21" Vented Rib M1 Barrel with chokes. Prefer new but will consider used well-maintained.

I just purchased an early HK import M1 and was surprised to see the 18.5" barrel was not threaded for a choke. Educate me on which barrels come threaded and which do not. I want to use the shotgun in 3 gun competition and would like the versatility of adding a choke. What are my best options, thread the barrel or pick up a second barrel??
