  1. I may be breaking a rule here stepping on someone's post but I'll have one of these for sale in Tulsa next weekend. New unmounted but the box has been opened so folks can see what it is. Price is $400. M1014, do you actually live under the Skyway Bridge? Ha! JB
  2. I too have noticed the slightly longer length of the FC wad Fed. LE shells. I use the LE 12700 in my guns. Full capacity is a little tight but I can useually get a full load in. I mainly had an issue with the FN SLP, not so much with the M4. You could possibly try a Wolf mag tube spring and cut it back one coil at a time to see if you can make the last round fit. There should be no functioning problems with a cut down Wolf spring. That way if it didn't work you could go back to the stock spring. I'd say it would be worth it as the patterns from the LE12700 are far superior to anything else I've tried.

    M4 vs FNH SLP?

I own both guns. I'd say the SLP is at a slight disadvantage with the 2 gas pistons. I've heard some leave the light load piston in with all loads but I'd be concerned with accelerated wear. I have a field stock on the M4 so the stocks are equal. The M4 has a one shell advantage when it's 922r compliant. Accessories are more available for M4. Function wise I'd say they are very close to the same in control situations (at range with know good quality high power ammo). I guess when you add up all the small stuff M4 wins out. In a grab one gun and run situation I'd reach for the M4 if only for the fact it will function on just about anything. Still the SLP is fun to pound with at the range after a bad day at work and great for around the house work. JB
  4. You might try a different brand of shells. Some 2 3/4" shells are just a touch too long and this could be the reason you can't load the 7th round. Also you may want to compair the mag spring to a 11707 spring.
  5. Dump the Walmart Win. 00B or save it for practice in a pump gun. I too had the slide hanging back problem with my M4. Wolf recoil spring took care of that. JB
  6. I too am new to register & post but have used this site for a long time for info. Many of the regulars have sorted through the bugs and there's a wealth of information here. Enjoy. JWB
  7. Thanks guys. Just what I was looking for a list of parts and where to find them. I'll be looking to keep it as close to original looking as possible so maybe FFT for the forend. It's a original Benelli tube so no USA marks, that's okay as it matches the finish perfectly. JWB
  8. First, thanks for all info I've gathered from this site before registering. If this has been answered before I will apologize in advance. I picked up an original Benelli M4 7 rd. mag tube a LONG time ago before the aftermarket started produceing the US made tubes, and paid a premium price for it! I'd like to retain this tube and make the gun 922r compliant with the pistol grip stock. What other parts can I install to accomplish this? Is there any advantage to the Benelli field stock since it's non-pistol grip? Thanks again, JWB.
