  1. A rough guide for adding weight above and beyond a fully loaded weapon for the inertia cycled Benelli bolts is

20 gauge : less than 385 grams and you should be okay

12 gauge: less than 500 grams and you should be okay

These are the approximate weights of the bolts; when the weight added to the gun exceeds the bolt weight, you may begin to experience cycling problems with the inertia system.

Hi this is very insightful but I am curious to know where you got this information from. Or is this just from your personal experience? Thanks.

  2. I think you must have read some hostility into the simple facts I stated that wasn't there. I'm not sure how wise it is to beg strangers to report your activities the BATF, but you could do it yourself if your really that anxiuos to push for an outcome. The phone # is (800) 800-3855, or email [email protected] .

I told you I already spoke to an ATF agent. I have nothing to hide. Have a nice day sir.

  3. I just joined the forum myself. Bought my 1st Benelli, a M1S90, back in '93, still have it. Like it so much, I bought a 2nd '92 M1S90 NIB last year just to have it.

Sounds like your buying to flip. If your not an FFL, you should probably know that it's a federal crime to buy and sell firearms for profit without a license. The BATF has taught many unfortunate people this very expensive lesson, and they won't likely forget it since they are banned from owning firearms for life once convicted. Just sharing this info in case anyone out there is unaware. The money you make flipping a gun like the M4 H2O will be nothing compared to a legal defense in a federal case. Apologies if I assumed incorrectly.

Thanks for your legal lesson. I did not purchase an H2O with the intention to sell it. I actually kept the gun I sold for a while before I sold it. I decided I wanted to sell it so I did. So what if it I made a profit from the gun? That happens every day. In fact, I invite you to report this thread to ATF if you'd like. I have a friend that works there and I spoke to him about what I did so please report me. Also, I'd like to note that I am trying to buy another for myself with no intention to sell. Again, please report this thread to ATF...thanks.

  4. The last gun is an M3 with a Briley 8 shot extension tube.

There is short coupling that extends the magazine to 10 rounds as shown in this picture:

Just remove the end cap off of the 8 shot tube, fit the short coupling extension to it and then screw the end cap to the short extension...very easy. This was a custom job because I also had them install a picatinny rail although I haven't tried attaching anything to the rail yet. This extension is also available for the M2.

  5. Do you have pics of the bottom of the bolt and inside of the receiver?

I don't have pictures of the bolt/receiver interior. I used a friends camera to take those pics and I am probably not going to hassle him to take more. The inside of the receiver looks fine and the bottom of the bolt looks good too. Do you have pics of yours to show what you're talking about?

  6. That's good news about the coating. I spoke with Benelli today and was told that there will be more H2O's next year. The limited production is temporary...???

I've heard conflicting things about that but I sure hope so.

  7. Uh, the coating issues aren't b.s.

The coating is crap compared to my two other M4s (11707, 11717).

The coating made the shell stop lever freeze on mine.

The coating has worn off the bottom of the bolt already. The gun hasn't been shot yet

The coating on the recoil spring tube is worn off where the collapsible stock rides.

If you crunch the numbers, the H20's price isn't too bad when you consider you get the cs stock, full tube and 922r joy . . .

If you pay retail which is about $2099.

Well I guess we can only speak for our own guns because mines perfect..the pictures speak for themselves.

  8. I really don't want to sell but its a seller's market for this gun right now. This is an awesome gun. Other posters are complaining about coating issues...that's BS. You can see the high quality close up pics and see there are NO issues with coating. I will probably upload a few more pics to my photobucket album later.

  9. Those are either pistol grip or traditional stocks. I have both the traditional stock and folding stock versions. My folding stock version has 8 rounds through it. It has not been imported for over 20 years.
