I had asked around as well and didn't get much help (even Bud's online). Ended up going to a local gun shop (Wilcox in Newport News, Virginia) and he ordered one for me. He called me to make sure it was the correct part number 11711. Benelli says it is about 60 days until delivery. We'll see.
Do you pay upon ordering or at the time of delivery? I'd like to order now and have 60 days to cushion my bank account for the hit that its going to take for this purchase.

$350 is the drop dead lowest price you'll find NIB. I don't see any used going for cheaper than that either.

Exactly what I was thinking, especially concerning the 922r compliant parrts. Far as I'm aware Benelli OEM parts are imported.
Assembling stateside with OEM (imported) parts does not pass 922r muster. Benelli has to be using aftermarket US made components!
I hope the collapsible stock is the same one they've been using. Anyone have any insight/thoughts?

SaWeet!
time to start saving my money.
when will this thing be available to the common folks?
Sign me up as well. When can we start placing orders?

Interested in M3T with all original parts.
Another option is to trade for the folding stock, barrel, and bolt carrier in exchange for brand NIB M3 parts. Of course, I would throw cash in the deal as well. Please PM if interested.
Thanks,
Alex

I have read on other forums/blogs that it is possible to fit Remington 870 grips/stocks on the M3 as shown here:
I want to install the Speed Feed Bird Head grip made for the 870 for the M3:

Does anyone have any insight/experience whether this is possible?

I've read on other forums and blogs that it is possible to fit a Remington 870 stock on a Benelli M1/M3. Can anyone verify this? I want to fit a Speedfeed Remington 870 Pistol Grip http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/2SDFD0390-1.html on my M3 and I wanted to know what level of gunsmithing involved would be.
Has anyone had any experience putting a Remington stock on a Benelli?

update: I found a 10 shot mag tube.

Probably won't cut the barrel down now...it'll look awkard with the tube extending past the muzzle.

Sorry I don't know what happened to my original thread but I had a few questions about mods for my newly purchased Benelli M3.
1) Does anyone know where I can get a chicken head grip? If not, is it possible to carve one out of the factory synthetic stock? Does anyone know of a reputable gunsmith that can do this?
2) Is there a receiver mounted picattiny rail available for the M3? I could not find one. If not, what are my options as far as rails?
3)Is there a 2 point sling attachment available? I could only find a single point attachment.
I also plan to add a 2 shot mag extension, 8 shot shell carrier and ghost ring sights with tritium inserts. I also plan to cut the barrel length from 19.75 to 18 inches. I plan to do some of the same mods as this Winchester:

Any other info/suggestions for mods are welcome. Thanks.

This is supposed to be a limited production gun, right? Any thoughts on whether this would appreciate in value in the future?
