I wil be very impressed if nobody says, "I told you so!"
Glad to hear you got confirmation that all is well. Now, go out and shoot that thing! It's much to fun simply to admire as a safe queen.
-
OK, how in the world could you have bought in September and just last week finally: (a) bothered even to look at it closely; (b) shoot it?
Ten months...that's a heck of a lot of self-control.
-
Much better response, thanks.
-
I'm just looking for a clear answer, thanks, finally for providing it.
-
Wait..you purchased an M4 in September 2011 and just now even looked at it closely enough to notice this, let alone fired it for the first time a week ago???
-
And some people are incapable of answering a simple question with a clear answer, apparently.
-
Can you please simply answer the question?
Will the standard stock that comes on the M4, not the C-stock, permit an optic to be used?
Or, do I have to install a different stock?
-
So, you are saying I have to replace the factory stock that came with my M4 to use an optic with the rail system?
-
And then...depression set in.
So, the only way I can mount an optic is to replace the stock???
Appreciate the help guys.

Hello guys, need some advice:
I would like to put an optic of some kind on my M4, but...not sure which one, or what.
For kicks, I tried putting my Aimpoint CompM4 on it, but it sat way too high for proper use, could not get a cheek weld, etc. Any suggestions?
Also, I'd like to get a rail system in place or, or, in addition to the front "furniture" what would allow me to mount a hand grip and/or light, etc.
Can you guys steer me in the right direction?
Thanks.

Sorry, for the necropost, but....have these gotten any better?
-
Ok, so, can you do newbies like me a favor and provide a URL for the charging handle?
Thanks.
-
Pirate, thank you. OK, so what this was all about was the charging handle...got it. Thanks. I just installed one, may have to check this one out, and thanks for the info on optic and handguard.
-
Well, in my opinion, the shotgun looks better with the black fixed stock anyway, so I know I won't be tempted to sink that much more into my M4.
-
Makes sense....so, anyone else have an "extras" laying around??
-
I apologize for the really stupid question, but why are these SO expensive? I only paid $1600 for the shotty itself.
-
I'm in the market, so why are so many people seemingly eager to sell off their Benelli OEM extensions?
-
Nice rig, and conrats.
What mount do you use with your Aimpoint? I tried putting my Aimpoint CompM4 on mine, but the Larue mount put it up to high and I could no longer get a good cheek weld on my M4.
-
Bud's Gun Shop sells M4, NIB, for $1600, cash price, includes shipping. Best price/deal I found anywhere when I was researching where to buy mine.
-
KB, I believe he is referring to his whole M4, that he has nicely modified.
As for a larger enhanced charging handle, I got mine from GG&G.

Skeet shooting with the M4 Tactical...awesome. Poor skeets, the little guys hardly stand a chance.
Update on my experiences: just put about thirty rounds of 2.75 Fed 00 Buck through it, not a problem. Ghost loading worked great.
Still have not gotten my magazine extension, but....shooting seven in a row was fun.
I was shooting them as fast as I could pull trigger in our large gun club's combat pit and had an older gent make a point of coming over. He simply said, "What the heck are you shooting?"
Fun conversation.

Congratulations, looks fantastic. I share your sense of "thrill" with the M4. I just got mine about four weeks ago.
What kind of optic are you running? I'm really interested in installing one on the top rail, though the ghost sites are pretty nice too.
I tried to put my Aimpoint CompM4, on my M4 Benelli, but the Larue mount it is on made it too high up for me to maintain a good cheek weld on the stock.
And, sorry, one more question...how hard it is adding the rails?
I got a large charging handle too, wow, so much easier to use it, a enhanced jumbo head safety, and a nice large bolt release pad. I am going to be installing the safety and bolt release pad today.
I just love me my Benelli Semi-Auto.

Well, coming back to the point....
I had a great range session with my M4, and put a LOT of heavy 00Buck through it then some cheapo game loads.
Worked great, not a single problem, and yes, I was behind the shotgun.
